I first heard this song on the Jim Croce tribute album, The Faces I’ve Been, released shortly after his tragic death in the early 1970’s.  Of course, we, Lou, Calvin and I, add our own unique brand of color to this traditional arrangement of Rudyard Kipling’s classic.  This is a tribute to the grace and honor of the downtrodden...and fun to listen to also!
