Opening Set for Chase & Status at The Great Hall Avant Gardner

Some magic in the dance music scene happened when NITTI and Party Favor put their minds together to form SIDEPIECE. Since first joining forces, the duo has not only dropped Grammy-nominated tunes for the masses to groove out to, but they've continued to deliver some of the most fun-loving sets that house music lovers can shuffle away to all day and night.

While much of 2024 has been quiet so far, SIDEPIECE kicked themselves into full gear on the release front by dropping a fresh tune with another hot house artist, San Pacho. "Taka" is out now across all platforms and will inject plenty of energy into your veins with its chopped vocals, organic drums, horns, and overall infectious groove. This pairing is a match made in house music heaven, and you'll find yourself vibing to the track from the moment you press play.

SIDEPIECE's performances have been memorable, and they're adding Shabang Festival to the mix this year. This festival, which will take place in San Luis Obispo on May 3-4, features the duo along with other standout artists like Noizu, Walker & Royce, and more. And to get everyone hyped they've spun up a mix that's teeming with quality house tunes that will have your body moving and shaking along with it.

Johnny Mahon was born and raised in New York, although you wouldn’t know it just from hearing his music. His refreshing blend between his NYC roots and his affinity for UK dance music has fans hooked, as he continues to further his mission to be a musical bridge across the Atlantic and fertilize the spread of UK Garage and Drum & Bass in the US.

After emerging in 2022, he now has an admirable collection of releases under his belt, with the likes of Deep Root Records, Southpoint Records, Tuned Out Records and more. The versatility in his productions are part of what keeps bringing people back - shuffling his discography could land you any range of emotions from lighthearted excitement to discourteous rebellion.

His rising stature within the industry has been bolstered by securing some rather reputable bookings, such as the main stage of Elements Festival, beside industry giants such as Skrillex, Tchami and John Summit, as well as tour support for Camo & Krooked and Wilkinson. His sets are always an audial marvel, with it forever a mystery if the next tune’s BPM is going to be 174 or 140.
