Johnny Monaco is a guitar player, singer, songwriter, and producer from Chicago, IL. After graduating from Harper College Johnny moved to Hollywood, CA where he graduated from Musicians Institute. Shortly after Johnny was asked to join Chicago based Enuff Z'Nuff as lead guitarist, and eventually frontman for the band. For the next twelve years Johnny toured extensively throughout the US, Europe & Japan.​ In addition Johnny has appeared in several print publications including Guitar World, Guitar Player, Young Guitar, Burrn!, Metal Edge, Classic Rock, Spin, and Rolling Stone magazine.​​  

​After leaving this twelve year stint in 2008 Johnny continued to front his own pop band and released his solo debut, Overrated. Edgy, sharp-witted power pop for the 21st century with a flair for sugary choruses & the ultra catchy melody. When he's not out performing live you'll find Johnny holed up in his Chicago home studio crafting the perfect pop rock gems that combine elements of British Invasion song craft with today's latest studio trickery. Johnny's nonconformist approach to life & music has a familiarity to it, yet is all together his own. 

​In the summer of 2013 Johnny teamed up with former band mates Enuff Z'Nuff for their twenty-eight city 80's Invasion Tour & UK Winter Tour beginning in Wales at the Hard Rock Hell VII festival. Johnny continued to front the band throughout multiple lineup changes until his departure in 2016. In winter of 2016 Johnny was invited to instruct aboard the very first all guitar dominated teaching cruise Axes & Anchors along with guitar legends Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde & Marty Friedman. In 2017 & 2018 Johnny continued touring throughout the U.S. & Australia with American rock bands Tantric & L.A. Guns for spring & summer tours.

​Johnny has also been very successful in the creative world of the pop-jingle business and has written & performed on a long list of TV & Radio tracks with production team Genuine Music. Clients include: Coors, Budweiser, Michelob, L&M, Pall Mall, KFC, Ivory, Army, Jeep, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, Nintendo, Goodwill, Maytag, Oreo, Whirlpool, Yamaha, Wendy's, Boehringer Ingelheim, OPTIMA® Batteries, Masonite, Kalahari Resort & Tennessee Tourism.  In addition, Johnny is included on the talent roster of globe leading, interactive songwriting team SongDivision. Clients include: Virgin, Microsoft, American Express, Campbell’s, Johnson & Johnson, Coca-Cola, L'Oréal, Bayer, Marie Claire, The Salvation Army, P&G, Virgin Mobile, Novo Nordisk, Condé Nast, TD Bank, Pfizer, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Gilead Sciences, Aesynt, Quicken Loans, Commonwealth Financial, LAUNCH, Omnicom, Cardinal Health, MWI Animal Health, Total Wine, Abbott, FLIRT, and Swift.

​Johnny is currently the touring guitar player for Stephen Pearcy (RATT) and also performs in multiple Las Vegas strip residencies including Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Bellagio, Aria, Luxor, New York-New York, and Harrah's Casino. In Johnny's musical world, any subject is fair game and he delivers with a style & swagger that's all his own and hard to resist. Johnny is currently accepting opportunities in music, TV & film.
