I wrote this at the end of the last Cold War. Sting had released the song Russians, Frankie Goes To Hollywood released Two Tribes and there was very much uncertainty on how it would go. So here we are again! One man's greed placing everything on this planet at risk. The invasion of the Ukraine scares me, it is not just that this bully Putin is killing children put his lust for Power seems to have no end. I feel that right now we are living on the edge of time and there is nothing that we can do! Sorry that this is not a proper video, but I just wanted to share this with you.

John Robert Hunter is a singer/songwriter based in Salisbury. His music is driven by the emotional moments in his life, moments that are easily identified with, whether it is a death of a parent, birth of a child or the love that transcends years. There is a large catalogue of unreleased songs that are only just being released, the first of which was "Earth Today" which dealt with man's inability to change and was released in 2019. The songwriter who influenced him the most is Bruce Springsteen, it is the idea of telling a story, getting inside the moment and capturing that essence in the song. John is no clone of Springsteen however, there is something darker in his music. Songs like "Here Comes the Night" or "When Death Divides" are a very long way the Springsteen sound.
