A war has erupted— right here, in my homeland, in this Middle East tangled in fear and unrest. Homes are reduced to rubble. Tiny angels drifted off to sleep and never woke again.

How did we become this cruel? How did indifference root so deep in the heart of humanity? What twisted belief convinces a so-called “human” to murder thousands of children, to wipe out countless innocent lives?

No, the world is not a beautiful place. Ask the children of Gaza. No, the world is not safe. Ask the merciless soldiers clutching nuclear arms. Though beware—their answers are lies.

And in the silence that follows the explosions, only the piano remains. A fragile refuge in an age of fire.

Look On Down From The Bridge

In July 2025, there was a tragedy in Texas when the Guadalupe River flooded, at least 27 campers and counsellors from Camp Mystic died, but over 100 died locally. I started to write this at the time, I couldn't finish it. I'm still not sure it's finished really. Anyway, these people, like all people, need to be remembered.

Tears (Acoustic Demo Master)

Johnson is a lo-fi indie guitarist , singer-songwriter from the North East of England, known for his atmospheric soundscapes and intimate melodies. Supported by ABUS MUSIC, he records under various guises, including Johnson, Johnson and The Phantom Ramms, and Abus Soundscapes, which can all be found on Soundcloud.

His latest project, Within, Without (2024), offers brand-new tracks that explore themes of introspection, blending raw lo-fi textures with hauntingly melodic elements. 

Past collaborations include The Middle Of Life with UK singer songwriter  Brian Peters  and Brazilian artist John Alberto Moraes. The latter collaboration  resulting in the Departures EP.

Johnson's previous EP, Singing to Rooks (2016), is available on Bandcamp and continues to resonate with fans of indie and lo-fi guitar music. The EP  can also be found on YouTube and other music platforms like Spotify and Amazon Muisc. 

Chosen as Soundclouder of the Day, his  “smooth, complex, and melodic,” Johnson’s instrumental work on Crossing the River' highlights his intricate guitar style.
