The Love Edits Vol. 10 is dedicated to the infamous Salsoul Records Label.

Salsoul Records was an American New York City based record label, founded in 1974 by the Cayre brothers. Salsoul issued about 300 singles, including many disco/post-disco 12-inch releases, and a string of albums in the 1970s and early 1980s. Artists such as The Salsoul Orchestra (led by Vincent Montana Jr), Aurra, Skyy, Inner Life, Rafael Cameron, Edwin Birdsong, Instant Funk, Loleatta Holloway, Civil Attack, Double Exposure, Love Committee(Gold Mind), First Choice, Joe Bataan, The Strangers, Moment of Truth, Vaughan Mason & Butch Dayo, Carol Williams, Jocelyn Brown, and Charo were at one time part of their roster.
This is my almost 2-hour-long tribute featuring edits, remixes and reworks by the best of the best reworkers out there.

D-Nice / The Reflex Special [Instagram Oct 7th 2020]

Things were somewhat on top for Liverpool radio station Melodic Distraction, having lost their studio space in the Baltic Triangle they were left homeless, and this mix was put together in support of their plight. They set up a Kickstarter and I’m happy to say that they reached their required amount of £35,000 and plan to move across the city into new premises in the Fabric District, novelly housing their studios in shipping containers.

The hour-long mix features original tracks I’ve played during more recent years, rather than re-edits or older stuff, so, especially given it’s a bit different to the norm, it’s good to be able to get up onto SoundCloud, where my uploads have been a bit threadbare (in comparison with previous times) since coronavirus shut down the industry.
