What an honor it was to have Shayli Harrison on NewForum! Shayli is a Digital Fashion Designer and Co-founder of Mutani. During the interview with Shayli, we discussed her vision for Mutani and her role as a pioneer in the Digital Fashion Crypto Space. We enjoyed hearing all the possibilities and innovation she finds in Web3, her experience, and how it influences Luxury Fashion and the Gaming Industry. Who would have thought that you could smoke weed in the metaverse! Quite hilarious, isn't it?! Well, this and more happened at the metaverse parties Shayli attended, and she tells us all about it in this episode!

Shayli loves the craft and building real-world items, but when it comes to the narrative, the storytelling, she looks to the digital tools to create that wow factor and have people attach to it more emotionally. And she is right about it! There is only so far you can push the bounds of reality!

"A lot of the time at the academy we were always trying to cover up our models and put them into ridiculous high heels, and it was really painful for them. So we can really spare them when we work in digital. There is definitely pros and cons working both ways but also doing both is valuable". - Shayli

When she graduated from the Antwerp Academy, she took a break from working in fashion. Shayli started working in a private nature reserve protecting biotopes to restore nature to as close as possible to its original form. This and more is proof that Shayli truly cares about her environment and sustainability, understanding the word sustainability from a physiological point of view.

She explains the many reasons for this excitement — the tools, possibilities, and innovation Web3 brings, empowering creators to take control over their voice, offering tools great for distributing social economies, wealth, and empowering creators.

Kenny Schachter's Successes and Challenges as an NFT Artist in Web3

Enara Nazarova is a marketer and entrepreneur, the founder of ARMOAR and Digital Fashion & Art show and podcast focused on building a new generation of digital products in media and web3. She spent about ten years as a performer before getting into technology, learning to tell different stories and connect with audiences. 
We now see why Visual Communication is crucial to her work in technology and culture. 

 Enara enjoys educating beginners in the space and explaining the possibilities of web3.  

In NewForum episode VIII,  she explains that fundamentally a web2 company is usually based on protecting their IP, designs, and the innovations they make in-house- enabling the company to aggregate all of that with a structure that will essentially retain IP within that one company.

Enara further explains that Web3, on the other hand, is all about fractionalizing a brand and allowing customers, who are technically the brand's most invaluable shareholders: the real investors spending their money and buying the product to access benefits from the growth of the brand. 

"...that incentivizes people to get in to support inter communities early, and if you are one of the early supporters, somebody who helped that community to become what it is, you get the benefit from that offset as well... "-Enara. 

Enara is very passionate about people not from the technology industry but developed a curiosity about web3 bring their perspective on how things should be designed.

"After meeting so many Creators and Artists interested in the space, coming from a traditional art background, we thought, wow, they don't have anywhere to display their artwork because it's not work you can easily place in an art fair. It needs special conditions; it needs a lot of different components to enjoy it, so that is how we came up with CADAF that stands for Crypto Art Digital Art Fair…" -  Andrea

Andrea talked about the role of a Curator in the digital space, why Curators are needed more than ever in an over-saturated art market and shared some tips for beginner Artists entering the Web3 digital art market. Andrea also touched on the significant relationship between Curators, Artists' and Collectors and the difference between curating in the digital space and curating in the traditional art world.
