DJ JOJO “Georges Zarifeh” is a world renowned international house DJ and owner of an independent record shop, Beat Box. Growing up in the cultural music hotspot of London and graduating from the prestigious London South Bank University with an honors degree in Finance, DJ JOJO is anything but ‘just another DJ’. 
Dubbed the “Night life King” by Virgin MegaMag Lebanon in 2011 and said to have introduced hip hop into the nightlife scene, DJ JOJO has been behind the decks since childhood, playing at family parties and gatherings before moving on to pubs, clubs and events. After graduation, he landed his first desk job before deciding that he would rather be behind a mixer than behind a desk. Mentored under the world famous night club and home of dance music, the Ministry of Sound, DJ JOJO soon became its resident DJ from 1991 to 1993, came back from 1994 to 1995, before going on to tour the most prominent Clubs around the world from Beirut to London, Zurich, Paris, Ibiza, Monte Carlo, New York, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and many other major cities. 
In 1996, DJ JOJO and long time friend, Albert Salem, decided to open what is now a high-profile retail store, Beat Box. Located in the heart of Beirut City in Ashrafieh, Beat Box is an independent record shop ‘for DJs by DJs’, catering to any needs of DJs, while serving the general public in the community with their melodic needs. Beat Box also supports sounds that deserve to be heard, mentored DJ JOJO himself as he was once mentored by C.J. Mackintosh, infamous for his one-shot wonder “Pump up the Volume” during his early days. 
DJ JOJO is now the Middle East’s number one DJ and has been spinning his tunes as a resident DJ in the most happening nightclubs in the region, from the renowned Peppermint Club Dubai, to the world’s number one nightclub in 2008, Skybar Lebanon. In 2008, he starred as resident DJ of his own night club, Chocolate. It was supposed to be a ‘fun experiment’ which led to it being one of the best night clubs in the city, catering to high-end clienteles and VIPs. However, due to his high demand across the region and multiple gigs per week from one corner of the region to the next, DJ JOJO realized that he was no longer able to make regular appearances at Chocolate and decided that it was time to move on and close Chocolate on a high note.
In the last two decades DJ JOJO has played alongside renowned International DJs such as: Armin Van Buren, Tiesto, Bob Sinclair, Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, John Digweed, Sacha, Paul Oakenfold and many more. At present DJ JOJO is the number one DJ in the Middle East and currently the Resident DJ of White’s rooftop club in the summer and MAD’s indoor venue in the winter. In addition to that, DJ JOJO hosts his own weekly show 'JOJO On The Radio' on NRJ Mastermix (99.0 FM) every Friday from 10-11pm , where he mixes the latest in House, Progressive House and Electronic Music.
