I've made a lot of music over the years. Feeling a bit nostalgic i went through some folders from 10 years and past and selected some of my better sounding tunes and threw them into this Ableton mix. 

Its funny going through 100's of tunes you get a real sense that you have made some progression over time from the early days of Soundcloud where it was bootleg central to moving onto making tunes for various record labels all while learning what works best and stream lining my production skills. It's only as you get older you tend to be a bit more careful on what you put out in the public view, as I've learned over the last few years. Still, everyone loves a Free Download so i do enjoy putting edits up for free download as well as taking a bit more time and care when it's an official release.

Viaje Tropical es una canción de electrónica de *dance y latin pop* que evoca la esencia vibrante de Costa Rica. A través de ritmos sensuales y frescos, frutas tropicales y paisajes verdes, la canción retrata una transformación profunda cuando vivimos en sintonía con nuestra naturaleza interior. Es como si Costa Rica le cantará al mundo: “yo quiero ser tu viaje tropical, natural, sideral”.

Una oda al movimiento, la sensualidad y la conexión entre ritmo, alma y territorio.

La cantautora Valeria Atkeys presenta “Viaje Tropical”, un tema que fluye como una corriente cálida entre sonidos electrónicos, ritmos latinos y motivos de guitarra. La canción nace de una colaboración sólida en la composición y producción junto al DJ y productor costarricense Barzo, e incluye la participación de José Castillo (integrante de Bomba Estéreo, Paraísos y Astropical) en las guitarras.

Este nuevo sencillo forma parte de su próximo álbum Galaxia, un proyecto que explora el cuerpo, el deseo, el origen y lo sensorial a través de paisajes sonoros donde confluyen la electrónica, el dance, el funk, el soul, el pop alternativo, el synth latino y los pulsos tropicales. Viaje Tropical es precisamente eso: un viaje. Una experiencia musical que trasciende el lugar físico y conecta con el sentir.
