London-based DJ, producer, label owner and promoter Ben Gomori has a long and varied career in dance music, stretching from illegal raves in fields in his birthplace Cambridge through residencies at some of London’s most legendary clubs to some of the biggest venues and festivals in the world. He plays an inimitable mix of house, disco, Balearic, electro, afro, acid, garage and techno, tirelessly digging for lesser known gems that he unearths for his RecordReplay bargain bin vinyl radio shows and seamlessly fitting them alongside the sounds of today, sprinkled with his own acclaimed edits and productions and a high-energy mixing style.

Co-founder of the eclectic Balearic London parties and vinyl edits label, he’s also the founder of the acclaimed Monologues Records, G-Edits and Sterns Edits imprints and has played regularly at Berlin’s hallowed Sisyphos since 2019, and across the world from Womb in Tokyo to fabric in London. He also runs Pitchblack Playback—a global series of album and DJ mixtape listening sessions in the dark, of which Rick Rubin said “this sounds great” and Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay said was “a fabulous idea”.

After playing classical piano and guitar, Álvaro developed a love for funk and jazz sounds, inspired by artists like Los Tetas, James Brown, A Tribe Called Quest and Thelonious Monk. Since 2017 he delved into house music and searched for artists and tunes that replicate that funky-jazz feeling in a house manner.

House music has been a defining feature of the lives of the Parton brothers for as long as they can remember. They have
lived and danced through many evolutions of it and bring all that knowledge and a love of 90s style and classy French
touch cool to their own work. It has landed them big releases on plenty of top labels, often laden with superb samples
and plenty of dance floor impact. Now they are focussing on their own Jolene Records and impress once more with this
fourth outing.

Danny kicks off with 'Blow', a loopy disco-house gem lit up with bright synth lines and plenty of lavish hits that all build
towards the drop. When it comes, the floor is sure to explode into a frenzy. Next is the fantastic 'Don Lobito' with its
swirling pads and loved-up vocal sounds drifting over tight, kicking house drums. It's a perfect blend of the physical and
the emotive.

Mike then steps up with 'Housewife', a moodier cut with menacing late-night energy, funky bass riffs and loose-limbed
drums that are topped with erotic vocal whispers. The instant filter house classic that is 'Aspirateur' closes out with
feel-good energy, expressive synth flourishes and soulful drums that bring life-affirming joy to this most essential EP.
