My story may upset someone, but I'll tell it anyway. I listened to this song while I waited for my mom to get back from the vet. Arriving home, she immediately said that Snezha, my beloved cat, had cancer and soon we would lose her. It happened just yesterday and she's still alive. But this song will be associated with her now to me :(

I even went and put excactly that algorithm input in the name generator (relax and electronica/dance), and this title was the one that fit the mood of the module best.

Custom samples from hardware Roland SC-88vl (909ish drums), Casio CTK-6250 (organ+bass, strings, sequence synth, crash cymbal) along with Amiga ST-Pack (hallbrass), and a modified elwood lead by atekuro.

every summer, my family and i would travel to an island to visit my surrogate grandparents.

i had this image in my brain of the island being the most perfect place on the planet. but when i returned there years later, i came to realize that such a place had never existed.

the land itself, the nature, was still beautiful, but the inhabitants were corrupting it. it wasn’t the haven that i remembered, except for my surrogate grandparents, who remain the light of the island.

i still love the island, but my idea of it has eroded. nothing is perfect.

this album is a bittersweet ode to a beloved place that has become unfamiliar over time.

this track in particular was heavily inspired by Kimihiro Abe, especially the track Rock Castle from Opoona (currently my favorite piece of music), but with my own strange production choices applied to the sound. this has turned out to be one of my personal favorite tracks i've released at the time of writing, hopefully you can enjoy it too!
