With this 28th release of Musik Gewinnt Freunde titled “Swimming With Birds” we will introduce you to the amazing music of Matthus Raman backed up with a stunning remix delivered by the mysterious Jake Chambers.

Matthus Raman is the moniker under which hides Alexandre, French dj and producer based in Lille (France), that mark his debut on the label with a couple of emotional and sensual tracks that totally fit with the label philosophy with those amazing melodies layered behind a catchy groove that give us as result two excellent uplifting tracks that we have no doubt you’ll look forward to play during the upcoming summer shows.

To complete the release at its best Jake Chambers redefine the title track “Swimming With Birds” into an even deeper version that warm your body and soul as the sunlight at dusk in a perfect summer day and we absolutely can’t wait to have the chance to listen more amazing music from this artist you’ll surely hear a lot about very soon.

With his new artist album “Quiet Distortion” ready for release this summer, Gregor Tresher once again sets sail to break new soil, proving why he is considered to be one of the most consistent artists in the universe of Techno music. “About A Good Place”, “Neon”, “A Thousand Nights”, “Full Range Madness” or his recent “Goliath” amongst many others - the list of Tresher's tracks that have turned into modern classics is more than impressive.

Now, with this new installment of 12 tracks and once again accompanied by forward-thinking artwork by long-time collaborating 3D-artist Dennis Richter, it seems that Gregor managed to bridge the gap to his early releases by transforming their original, uncompromising sound into the here and now. Gregor puts it this way: “I am aiming to find the right balance in-between the vibe of some of my early music and the kind of modern Techno I like to play as a DJ, but at the same time I do not want to stand still but evolve as a musician. The goal I try to reach is to create something that will hopefully stand the test of time.“ 

After the haunting opening piece “Numb”, it´s “Surrender” and “Tyrant” that instantly set the tone for what we consider to be Tresher´s most complete piece of work to date. And when the title track “Quiet Distortion” kicks off, people will instantly recognize that Midas-touch that made Gregor´s sound a quality trademark in the world of electronic music.

There are of course tracks that will find their place in playlists by Gregor´s DJ-colleagues: The rumbling “Depend“ that´s also been a staple in Gregor´s own sets over the past months, “Consistency“, which finds its niche in-between the melodic openers and a more tough Dancefloor-approach or the menacing “The Kraken“, that reminds of Tresher´s work on Adam Beyer´s seminal Drumcode label. With “Decades”, we get a glimpse of Gregor´s Sniper Mode project, which he buried at a time when real Electro lost its name to a different genre of music. And then of course there´s the mighty “Goliath“ - the only previously released track on the album: Pretty much everyone who has spent a night on a dance floor of a Techno club in the past year will recognize it, as it has been championed by so many.

Accompanying the release, Gregor embarks on another extensive album tour spanning over six months. It will include a mixture of exclusive live performances as well as DJ-gigs kicking off at the end of May and touching down on some of the most prolific music festivals and clubs around the world.

Headed by a Carioca who was blessed with the name of
his own hometown, MooDisco contains a 3-track bomb from Leo Janeiro with DOC label boss Gui Boratto and a very special remix by French act Rodriguez Jr.  

This could just be a happy coincidence, where it’s not for the fact that Leo’s trajectory made him a protagonist of the electronic music scene in his hometown, Rio de Janeiro.  He built a career dedicated to music. In a city with so many daytime attractions, it is the night and electronic music that has been blessed with his talent.  He has compiled an impressive list of residencies and performances globally. Known as one of the ambassadors for Brazilian electronic music, Leo has the ability to combine originality with a universal language. Just like his hometown.

On this limited edition vinyl and digital release, Leo Janeiro, Gui Boratto and Rodriguez Jr. present a serious track sequence of techno and house beats. Each artist has kept its own trademark.  ”I had a lot of ideas and one of them was to have a remix by an artist that I admire, respect and have a personal relationship”, says Leo Janeiro.

Rodriguez Jr. (Oliver Mateu), shared his unique talent creating a remix for MooDisco.  He is the one half of French electro act The Youngsters – best known for their two studio albums and singles for Laurent Garnier’s label. Rodriguez Jr. reveals a different incarnation of Mateu’s musical psyche; moving through shimmering, contemplative electronica, to deep and urgent techno, leftfield melodic accents and quirky pop refrains.  A perfect blend for this project.

MoodDisco is a combination of artists and friends on the move. They are tireless in enthusiasm and are bursting with new tunes and projects.

Lithuania’s best kept secret Few Nolder brings his newest heater ‘Cassowary’ to Poesie Musik, including a remix from Julian Wassermann. Touching mind body and soul, Cassowary pushes hard with its synth swells blistering through the night and its delicate vocal soundscape is something to celebrate. The track rides satisfyingly deep and heavy, but retains an air of fragile elegance.  German Deep House engineer Julian Wassermann takes the track to the club floor, bringing the groove and rhythm to give more pressure to the heat. With a decidedly more Tech House groove the track gains a new light, Julian’s stripped-down approach pays off well as the track continues growling and thumping to a boil.

One Opinion is the alter ago for Hungarian producer duo Peter Makto & Gregory S, also known as the driving forces between TrueSounds Music. They make their return on Manual Music's MNL label after their 'Bright Matter' single (2016) and their remix for Budakid's Back To Live (2014).

The guys always bring a trademark sound to the table when working as One Opinion. Driving, uplifting and as much raw on the edges as it is melodic, their songs are always highly effective late night dance floor burners. 'The Answer' is no exception. Proper crowd pleaser here!

On remix duties we welcome August Artier on board. The Ibiza based DJ/Producer is quickly establishing a name for himself, with a series of quality releases on several respected underground labels like Tenampa, Carioca and Submarine Vibes to name a few, and a weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio. He goes for a stripped down tech house funk approach, with rolling groovin' beats and glimpses of the main melodic theme.
