This is an excerpt from a DJ HueyLove mix I made recently. It's a sample of some of the more laid back funk and groove by which HueyLove abides. 

I apologize for the hard cut in and out of the mix. This is just a quick sample of my work.

DJ HueyLove Funk to Groove Mix Excerpt

A HueyLove mix of hip hop and R&B with a jazzy feel. 

I started the mix playing with a Busta Rhymes a cappella on top of a Mr. Scruff song called Stockport Carnival and then move into some MF Doom, Madvillain, Digable Planets, Bill Withers, Jackson 5, A Tribe Called Quest, Soul to Soul, and more.

I wanted to make a mix that featured electronic happy music with arpeggios and video game like sounds. Inspired by Producer/DJ's such as Ryan Hemsworth, I mixed together this colorful electronic musical experience for our enjoyment.
