I wrote this song when I was 14. I had never been in love, didn't know what it was, but I made it up in my head & imagined a story where my lover had left me & all I could do was to say goodbye. Funny how life sometimes writes itself...

My very first studio recording in Australia, featuring my very first guitar solo, done at Gold Dust Construction in 2007.

This song was recorded at the end of a recording session with some extra time, one take with various items I had in my pockets like keys & a deck of playing cards, with some paying around with a little bit of effects to try & create an aural experience similar to being on Nitrous Oxide gas, otherwise known as "Nangs".

The Day I was Alice

Written more than half my life ago now, just about when I started song writing. Songs came to me much easier then. I was much more open to simple melodies, a lot less self critical in terms of lyrical content as well as generic chord progressions & structure. These days I struggle to find such beautiful simplicity in song writing any more, so here's a little gem from back in the day... ;)
