EMEX is the emergent techno project of Modular Expansion Company based in Athens. . Their debut vinyl EMEX EP 00110001 is released by their own label and includes 3 club techno tracks, produced entirely on KORG analogue synthesizers. Inspired by mathematics and digital electronics, 00110001 is a conceptual fusion of dancefloor techno with atmospheric overtones. The first track 00110001, is a minimal opener, with pounding chords and Detroit style influences. The second track 00110010, progresses into darker territories while the fundamental grooves become infused with moody flavors. The third track 00110011 transpires from harder realms, concluding the release with its almost acidic basslines and trippy arpeggios.

'Back To Oblivion' is produced together with the Bulgarian rising star Timmo, well known by his releases on Drumcode. The track is leaded by a mental arpeggio which is growing & growing until an explosive breakdown. 'Sun And Sand' was made by the Suaras boss, the Canadian Weska and the German Kevin de Bries, it's elegant and intense techno track produced around a female sample vox.

When Neon was originally released on Datapunk in 2006, it was a landslide. Being championed by Sven Väth for ages (and being one of the tracks that were the soundtrack to his notorious vocal performance at Time Warp that very year) - it was the track that ultimately cemented Gregor´s status as one of the main representatives for a new breed of Techno producers by inventing a trademark sound that shaped the path to the future. With the original recording being carefully remastered in Ljubljiana by Gregor Zemljic with greatest precision, this new version brings that trademark sound to life once again - or has it ever been away really?

On the flipside we have a remix by another notorious heavyweight: Butch! His version, originally sketched not so long after the original came out, takes the melodies of the original track to the housier floors. When Butch sent his version to Gregor a little bit over a year ago it actually established the idea of a re-release.

We believe there probably couldn´t be a better track than Neon to underline the name of our newly founded label: GTO - Gregor Tresher Originals

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead who’s legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell, and the new release is from veteran Frank Biazzi.

Belgium based Frank Biazzi is making his Intec debut following releases on labels including Marco Bailey's MB Elektronics and Christian Smith’s Tronic. Frank Biazzi also heads up his own label Trauma Records, and has remixed tracks by the likes of Ken Ishii and Mauro Picotto.

A stalwart of Belgium’s techno scene, Frank is a regular booking at many of the country’s clubs and festivals, and often plays gigs in other parts of Europe.

Having been involved in music for well over two decades, his early releases on the classic techno label Lupp Records were regularly supported by Carl Cox, Dave Clarke and Monika Kruse.

Frank Biazzi had to remove himself from music for a number of years due to a growing problem with the hearing disorder tinnitus, but now back in the studio, he has spent the last couple of years picking up where he left off.

Track one “Reflection” opens the EP with a thumping groove lead by the pound of the hammering kick drum. Taking its title from the looped vocal sample, the track has a thick sound comprising of only a few core elements. Each of the sounds have an ominous presence creating a raw aggression that’s timeless within the techno genre.

Second on the EP “Ravage” is equally as hard as the first cut with a dark atmosphere and menacing intent. The lead synth takes a clear influence from late '90s techno, which is the style that Frank Biazzi is often associated, and fans of both new and old will not be disappointed with this intently powerful track.

'London based artist DYSART kicks off 2020 with a class new EP ‘No Acid’ on Kneaded Pains. After his third EP on Intec in 2019 and multiple Radio 1 support, it looks like 2020 could be the year for DYSART.

Keeping to his stripped back style, ‘No Acid’ is a lesson in less is more. Pounding 909 kicks pulverise as metallic percussions syncopate the rhythm. Dystopian vocals, clever drum work and eerie synths complete the sonic landscape resembling the kind of desolate terrain perfect for techno. 

On remix duties, rising star Frazi.er ups the tempo punctuating the tension with submarine radar bleeps and a skippy woodblock groove. Relentless and hypnotic. Finally, ‘Dark Metal’ sees overdriven kicks, warped clicks and percussions, and bleeps create the kind of dark energy that only peak time techno can make. Strong tribal drum work again sets this apart from the herd. '
