Those brothers you shared in song…why did you have to do them wrong

The doors are breaking down…knees are shaking now

Sunrise

Detritus and Debris

The road keeps turning, I keep learning, about the silence of my soul
It’s there if you listen, dewdrops glisten, diamonds from the coal
On this wet May morning, without warning, the words come sliding through
Veil of raindrops, wind blown roof tops, sky dripping truth

We’ve been waiting all our lives
For it to turn out right
Swim inside the light

Heart must open, fences broken, detritus and debris
Minds are reeling, that empty feeling, far be it from free
Take the trash out, compost the old doubt, been buried deep
Round the edges, leap from ledges, mourn and laugh and weep

Riding on a ferris wheel
Open up the seventh seal
Before the angels…kneel

Another chapter, before and after, rise and fall
Framed with questions, the wind she beckons, response and call
Moving mountains, ferocious fountains, carried on a wing
Riddled reason, nature treason, the pendulum will swing

Ride the road of life…
Time to pave it…with light
From the stars of the night
Nothing wrong, nothings right

Fill that ocean, with love
Wear the wings…of a dove
Mingle..with the clouds
Adorning…ancient shrouds

Now is the time
Read between the lines
Carry through the dark
What’s written in our hearts

Don’t hold back your tears
Shed those lonesome fears
Wash your hands of doubt
Within you and without

Breathe deep into the blue
Receiving all that’s true
Filter out the games
As we kneel before the flames

The air is this with sighs
Evolution in our eyes
Feel the moment…clean

Hold on steady, hold on tight…hold the morning for the night
Casting shadows, dancing dreams… honeysuckle upon the breeze
Moonstones washing on the shore…waves of light come through the door

In the arms of tomorrow…an empty golden bowl
Some lead, some follow…that dusty trail to soul
This world can swallow…pieces of us whole…it’s how we come to grow

Songs of color, breath of stars… the crimson red of a distant Mars
Shawl of nature, all around, upon my shoulders…safe and sound
Into beauty, into love…the other side of push and shove

The night she falls softly…like a feather from the blue
My fears, they have lost me…like a baby bird that flew
Their stain can be costly…and change one’s point of view

Battles, bones and graves

I honor one… and honor all
The ones who fight and who fall
