Unpaid bills are piled high, some were due last year
Tax returns are stacking up and the rent is in arrears 
But this tune I’m writin will pay off in sweet music to your ears

My oven pilot’s out again and the furnace needs a part
Water heater’s on the fritz, I took the dryer half apart
But this melody I’m tinkerin with is gonna warm your cold cold heart 

You say I’m irresponsible, put them projects on a shelf
But I always do my best work when I should be doing something else

I ain’t been to the gym in months and my Pelaton’s offline
I just orbit Planet Fitness and my treadmill is a clothesline
But these licks I have been working out are shaping up just fine

My floors are fairly filthy and my clothes are in a heap
My chimney’s downright dirty and the laundry makes you weep
But these lyrics gonna knock your socks off and sweep you off your feet

You say I’m irresponsible, don’t take care of myself
