Why would internal affairs wait 2 days before questioning the officer?!?

They wait two days to interview people involved in high stress situations because perceptual and memory distortion takes place when there is that much adrenalin in your body.  It can take up to two full REM cycles for the brain to process and remember details related to the events.  During sleep memory consolidation occurs whether you realize it or not, while you’re sleeping your brain is not at rest; it is constantly consolidating and processing the day’s activities and embedding memories.

Very interesting to learn how guilty cops like Slager are afforded a few days to fabricate a cover-up story to avoid incriminating themselves and their accomplices in murdering innocent civilians

In a recording obtained by GuardianUS, patrolman Michael Slager says his adrenaline is "pumping" and laughs during a conversation with a senior officer. Slager had minutes earlier shot dead Walter Scott.
