When we think about Austrian house, Demuja is likely to come top of mind, yet closely followed with a staple artist of the Viennese thriving underground scene: Felix B. Nowak. a.k.a. Jon Gravy. Jon kicked off his career quite early, starting to produce his first track at the age of 17 and has now been blessing us with quality music for approximately 10 years. He first developed strong connections with South African grooves and 70s soul music from his dad's vinyl collection, before getting inspired by house and techno pioneers such as Paul Johnson or Underground Resistance. Jon's productions are quite easy to spot: upbeat and groove-ridden house against a backdrop of driving and stinging basslines that you could find on labels like Neo Violence, Blaq Numbers or Rough Recordings. He is also known as the owner of the record label “Step Back Trax” and its event series (Super Motel 168) which has already welcomed lots of worldwide house names (Baltra, KETTAMA or Adryiano). Actually, nothing could currently stop him as he has just founded his second record label "Gravy Trax" and released his own album on it.

We all hope we will get to be dancing again soon this year, but for now, this one should definitely be enough: 60 minutes of both classy and dirty house vibes featuring jams from Lood, Palms Trax or Mogwaa. People, this is assuredly the only way to enter 2021 properly!

Jon Gravy [Ion ɡreɪvi] - Inspired by admirable kwaito dancing moves of his south african family, the musicality of his parents and the vinyl collection of his father, a former jazzclub promoter. Jon was drawn to electronic music from a young age. This passion led him to study multimedia and audio in the musical hub of Salzburg.

Over the years, Jon has collaborated with renowned artists such as Demuja, DOS, Giuseppe Leonardi, Lou Asril, and Anna Buchegger. He has released music on respected labels like theBasement Discos, 
Pets Recordings and Studio Bahöö. His work has gained significant recognition within the electronic house scene.

His first album 'X to Love' was released in 2020 and achieved great attention for this young uprising Austrian based artist. The title track 'X to Love' was visualized by Studio Steroid and aired on BBC Radio 1. In 2021 his remix 'Friek' for 'Joe-Zawinul-Award' winner Lou Asril got into rotation on the FM4 radio. 2022 he released his second Album 'MMXX' which features Anna Buchegger and DXDX. In 2024, Jon released his third album, ‘21 Dreams‘, and was voted for FM4 Soundpark Act of the Month in March.

Gravy has been working in the music industry for over a decade and has promoted shows featuring international guests from around the globe. He has performed at festivals such as Impulstanz, Paradies Garten, FM4 Frequency and shared stage with Gerd Janson, Kettama, Prospa, DJ Heartstring, Paula Tape, Baltra ...
