Last month, on 21 September, the music industry was rocked by the unexpected passing of Richard H. Kirk.

The late musician, who broke ground as part of influential post-punk group Cabaret Voltaire and ignited dancefloors through electronic-rooted solo excursions and other releases under a plethora of aliases including (but in no way limited to) Sweet Exorcist, Sandoz and Electronic Eye, was considered by many to be a true musical trailblazer. A singular talent – one that is sorely missed. 

Here, Factory Floor's and Carter Tutti Void’s Nik Void celebrates Kirk’s life and works via a special tribute mix.

My Flower | Nov '21

A couple months ago I started a project to turn my normal journaling process into a channel flipping experience! All the scratch work and raw ideas packaged together. I noticed I loved listening to all my nascent and unfinished ideas playing through my composition journals, so I decided all the new ones I would start making into a listening experience!

Refuge Worldwide is our new online home for a diverse range of radio shows, launching later this year. We still vividly remember the phenomenal Boiler Room set that @jasminhoek played in our club two years ago. For the first WAS. podcast of 2021 she laid down an outstanding mix with banging beats and raw energy that takes us right back to the place that we're all missing so dearly right now: the dark and smokey dance floor. 

Her contribution to our series is a solid reminder to keep the hope for better times alive because we will dance together again!
