Womp 2023 Castle Stage

I had a very fun time ripping this set for NABDNB @ Home & Away in YEG this past weekend. 
I was inspired by the underground electronic vibes of the Shuffle Club on this mix and really tried to take it in a pumping, electro style vocal infused drum and bass throw down. Lots of melodies in this one, some dirty double drops and some heavy cuts to round it out.

Was super grateful to be asked to play a set for the special Halloween edition of YEG's growing monthly Bass Therapy, hosted at The Dive Bar. 
The setup is half hour slots so everyone goes full tilt, no time to waste.

NAB DnB has been a leading force in Alberta, Canada in the scene, producing and co producing some of the biggest and best events coming through our city. 
It was such an honor to not only be asked to join their 30+ member community, but to open things up at their 4th annual Xmas Yultide Ball as a welcome to the family announcement. 

Music it therapy, music heals, and music bring us together. 
This curated setlist reflects those sentiments. 
This set was therapy for me, and expressing it amongst my new found community was exactly what was needed.

Bass Therapy is a monthly in YEG that has grown a special place in my heart.
A safe haven for bass heads of all walks all heavy genres are welcomed and it has given me such a fun place to grow and continue to find my sound.

Bass Therapy - The Next Chapter

A little set we whipped up for an amazing launch party for our dear friends at Visceral Photography. The mix is really a blend of our two live sounds, ranging from pumping bass house, to more melodic progressive tech house.

This was our set from The Womp's Nye party. 
Starts with some G House around 125bpm and ends around 137bpm with some fist pumping bassline. 
Was a pleasure to be part of this amazing event. Hope you enjoy

A set I got to play at the inaugural Burning Giraffe Festival 2020. 
29 tracks in a hour set. Filled with lots of heavy drops and some melodic melodies. Crafted for Trevor's bday there's not one but 2 Daddy shout outs ;)

Wearin’ black clothes and bustin’ mad flows, YEG-based J-Sound brings that bass to the DnB faithful.
After winning Western Canada’s biggest DJ competition — the Pioneer Mix Master Battle — in 2010, he’s opened for dozens of top 100 DJs and dished out his signature sound to thousands.
A mainstay at The Womp festival, as well as part of NABDnB, he’s also a substitute teacher at Sunday School, lending light to the darkness with pulse-pounding drum and bass.
Drawing off influences ranging from k motionz and phibes to culture shock, J-Sound shares his creative light through music, dance and laughter, producing an ear-pleasing mix of dark, heavy and dangerous.
