They invited all the most important creatures in the fen
the whole amphibian gentry was preparing to attend
they went

they ate small crumbs from a great big crumble
and had a merry day

the couple stood before the priest
and long time did he go on
until uncle rat reached down beneath
his shirt and pulled a gun

he flung the gate wide open and a dozen rats ran through
the leader shouted “Froggie we have come to finish you!”

“We are the Rodent Revenge Crew
and long time have we yenned
to get revenge upon you

They opened fire on the party
long time did they slaughter
the amphibious gentry lost three
dozen sons and daughters

miss mouse and her guests fell to bayonets, but I’ll tell you that meanwhile
the valiant froggie had just about broken the 3 and a half minute mile
he said
