ROSE ROYCE x CANDI STATON x JONTON - You Got The Love You're After

It's Valentine's Day and we have cooked up a mixtape with almost all female vocals, (It's actually 89% Female, 6% Male, 4% Talkbox & 1% What?) because nobody does L.O.V.E. like the women of Boogie, Disco & Soul!
It's all late 70's, early 80's tracks that ranges from beautiful love stories to porn(ish) weirdness, because thats what love is supposed to be!

We made this tape for our Valentine's party at Story Hotel in Stockholm, but also for the lovers that are cookin' up some heat on their own!

JONTON x VALENTINES

Well, this is our first of hopefully many "The Adventures Of Jonton" mixtapes! We where invited to play in Oslo and decided that we should drink some beer and make a mixtape the day before our gig to have some fun and share some tunes. Since we are sharing the stage with Sophie Lloyd and she's a disco edit queen, we made rules:
- Only use edits (sort of worked...)
- Keep it short
- when agreed on a track, it has to go in
- Anton give me another beer!

And so the adventures of Jonton was born!

If you take the dude from Entourage/Hawaii 5-0 and pick 1 of Bob Marleys 5000 children you're probably a criminal looking to collect ransom money, but most likely you have kidnapped the DJ duo Jonton. Congratulations!

Now, let’s circle back to the start of this beautiful adventure.

John and Anton both grew up on a mix of 36 Chambers, Dangerous and The Miseducation of that racist lady from The Fugees, unaware that they one day would cross paths and join forces at a creative arts school while debating who sucked the most at math. They added two and two together, John was a skilled DJ, and Anton was, you know, handsome - they realized that there was no end to the possibilities.

So now JONTON is here to serve you with mixtapes, edits, jams and joy! We hope that you join us in this journey through packed dance-floors, bad moonwalks, good beer, delicious midnight snacks and that oh so special moment where you close your eyes, tilt your head backwards and do random things with your arms because you just feel it that hard!
