Foxy Red Recordings is a Record Label based in Berlin specialised in Deep, Afro & Tech House. We're all about embracing meaningful and heartfelt stories in electronic music, and to tell this particular story we have recruited 2 highly skilled producers, TiTLEZ & Mirlaqi.

Traveling Beyond Moving EP is an ep split over 6 tracks which is comprised of 2 original productions form each producer and 2 tracks where the producers get to grips with the others productions to wonderful effect.

Over the course of the ep we find influences reaching from hazy low slung house grooves to clever intricate organic musical numbers to classic leaning house of the New York variety. It's often hard to merge two producers together over an EP, but this one here feels like an effortless coordination between TiTLEZ & Mirlaqi orchestrated to perfection by Foxy Red

PREMIERE: Vanderkraft - Spritz D'Été

Following the success of the spellbinding ‘Beware The Stranger’ we now see the release of Lady Blackbird’s ‘Collage’ on Foundation Music.  Remaining close to her jazz roots, ‘Collage’ sees Lady Blackbird delve into a psychedelic soul sound, reminiscent of the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Sault and Celeste.  It’s the third single taken from her much-anticipated debut album ‘Black Acid Soul’, produced by Grammy-nominated Chris Seefried. Regarded as one of the most exciting new artists on the global jazz scene, hailed as “the Grace Jones of jazz” by Gilles Peterson.  LA based Lady Blackbird aka Marley Munroe possesses a style and emotional intensity that is very much her own.

 

On this next collection of remixes golden eared A&R and Foundation Music label head Ross Allen, brings on board wonder duo Bruise, made up of Christian Campbell (Sona Vabos) and Darren House aka Diesel (Xpress-2, Ballistic Brothers), their debut sell out release ‘Presentation’ on Meda Fury dropped with a very loud bang.  The second set of reworks comes courtesy of UK Jazz pianist Greg Foat, who’s recent album on Strut ‘Symphonie Pacifique’ went widescreen, previously releasing on Jazzman and Athens Of The North, Greg Foat moves between soul-jazz workouts to library music to cinematic, haunting compositions and pastoral acid folk. Both Bruise and Greg Foat treat Lady Blackbird’s ‘Collage’ with a lot of skill and an incredible amount of sensitivity each of them delivering killer reworks.

Aurore 404 is back with the 2nd Volume of Cut A Rug, a series dedicated to dance numbers and relentless groovers. All 6 pieces are composed by french artists, their genre oscillating between house, deep house and italo disco. Noise Ark and Chouba are kicking off the release with great house tunes both based on steady groovy basslines. Then, Doublure, with his mesmerizing synth and out of space arpeggiator, smoothly bridges the first and the latter part of the EP.
NairLess takes over to do what he does best: some funky drums and a catchy melody dancing around a solid Morodesque bassline sequence. Then comes S.R who cooked an epic italo burner with a strong old school vibe built around playful synths answering each other - we cannot wait to blast this one on dancefloors, once they reopen.
To end this chapter, Vanderkraft dusts off the Delorean with his spacey ‘Antépénultième’, filled with transporting melodies, bouncing drums and some 303 funkiness to top it all off.

Jonny Sriraxa & Luci B's indomitable sonic system, Nostalgia Futura is a project born during the first confinement period in Madrid, Spain, at the peak of the Covid-19 crisis. The overwhelming sensations of physical, social, and emotional detention painted the horizon with a nostalgic hue..."so we felt a certain type of nostalgia for this particular future..." And now, in their sets and performances, Jonny Sriraxa and LuciB aim to transmit the entirety of that accumulated energy through rhythms oriented towards the dance floor--evoking reflection through motion-- and flowing across a variety of genres, histories, and influences that fuse the old, new, and still-evolving.
