Kim Ann Foxman takes us direct to the heart of a sweaty warehouse rave with these two red hot new singles. 'Connection' is all bright stabs, sci-fi effects and coruscated old school house jack that is impossible to ignore. Luca Lozano smooths it out slightly and races ahead with a big baseline that gets you making elastic moves. Foxmann's 'Magic Magic' then keeps up the rave house vibe but with a tinge of trancey-euphoria in the big, bright synths. Matisa's remix is all about smoother house pleasures. This is functional music with a big heart.

For several years now ISLA has been serving up the best in ambient, experimental and trance-driven creations, welcoming artists like Ambien Baby, D.Tiffany, Pillow Queen, NAP and Le Fe to the label. Next up they've called on Maara for 'A Potion Activated', marking her second EP following a debut on Priori and Ex-Terrestrial's NAFF imprint. Backed up by a remix and a collaboration from two label affiliates D.Tiffany and NAP, the release teeters 'between heaven and hell', delivering five trance-inducing rides into purgatory.

Panorama EP could be considered Erta Ale’s personal homage to the early 90's progressive house . Repetitive patterns, infectious bass lines and emotional chord progressions cooked together with precise rhythmical structures as well as featuring short vocal loops and acid lines typical for that time. The intention from Erta is to bring the crowd back in time and far from intellectualism and negative trips, in a place and time where dancing, dreaming and positive feelings were always present on the dance floor. Side B features an impeccable remix by the growing talented Italian duo we.amps, who as usual deliver powerful and tasteful dance floor tracks.

The Ellipse Records project was born out of two common goals with Houseum Records: sharing music and putting forward promising artists. This sub-label highlights a new music library that oscillates between electro, breakbeat and ambient. The releases will combine exploration and texture through the symbiosis between artistic covers and sounds.

Rising contemporary electronica musician Holo will be releasing his new In Limbo EP via Houseum’s sub-label Ellipse Records on the 11th of March. The Australian producer burst onto the scene in 2019 after seeing his first track 'Atlas' uploaded on the Houseum YouTube channel and after releasing his debut EP of the same name, with house music heavyweight UK label Shall Not Fade’s sub-label Lost Palms. The EP featured the deep house classic ‘In My Dreams’ that earned over 2 million streams on Houseum channel.

Hugo Horwood (Holo himself) is originally from Canberra and is currently living in Melbourne, Australia. His music draws from unexpected genres, including pop, classic rock, acid and 90s hip hop, to create a sound that is truly his own.

Holo once had this “Airbnb for music gear” business idea and tried to validate it by buying an original Roland TB-303 to rent out to other producers in Melbourne. He ended up stopping that project but found he was way too in love with the 303 to sell it, and he's glad he didn’t because it's been a constant source of inspiration, and it’s all over this track. He’d been mucking around with an acid line over “In Limbo” and found that the 303 line worked brilliantly with the drums and bassline by themselves, so he immediately saved a new version of the project and didn't look back! The sound of this track is inspired by Andy Garvey’s 2019 Boiler Room x Pitch Festival set, and it’s another one where he thought, “this shouldn’t work”, with an acid lead, disco bassline, renaissance choir sample, eBow guitar line and a couple of sampled trumpets. His favourite track from this EP.

Throughout club music history, the combination of vocals and groove remains a vital element. Countless anthems have prompted singing on the floor, and have raised arms in the air. There might have been times where vocals mattered less, but right now they are probably more needed than ever.

Tom & Rose are well aware of all that, and they were willing to place themselves and their music in a tradition of dancefloor euphoria, universal messages and a bit of bittersweetness. Together they created these tunes as a testament to better times gone and ahead.

"How Wrong" is the sound of heartbreak, albeit locked in a UKG tinged sureshot that swings back and forth with ease between jubilant piano bliss and monolithic bass weight. And it kicks like a mule. "Lose Yourself" is both an ageless acid slam and a joyful paean dedicated to all nights that should never end. While the No Hope Dub is designed to be the soundtrack for blowing a nocturnal kiss to everyday sorrows.

Also included: complementary remixes by Eluize and Massimiliano Pagliara that come up with a different take, but a similar vision.
