Hymn to the light

Composition created in March 2023.

From an improvisation created with piano and my new XPad synthesizer comes the initial melody on which all the other sounds develop. It has been completed in three weeks, which is a record for me!!!

Hymn to the light

Call To Love is the first song I recorded in studio.

This experience was a huge step in building my confidence and started my journey towards really working on producing my own stuff. 

I like to think of this song as a sort of personal mantra to live by. And when life gets tough, I return to it as a much needed reminder to myself of beauty in the world. 

Glad to finally add this to my SoundCloud collection. I hope you enjoy :)

"Rays of Summer Sun" 

Here is a small summer-related excercise I played the other day using my old Korg SGProX as a midi keyboard! Everything except the brass was created using sounds from the wonderful UVI Emulation+ virtual synthesizer (representing the lovely hardware sounds of the E-mu Emulator, Emulator II, Emulator III and Drumulator). The brass is from the UVI JP Legacy/Saturn-6 (cf. Jupiter 6).
