A long time friend of the label and an artist who needs no introduction, Recondite presents two unique techno narratives for his much anticipated first EP on Life and Death.

Up first and straight out the gate like the turning of the great Boethian wheel, Think Twice turns over and on top of itself again, like the march of time and the fortunes of paupers and princes alike. An ever advancing urgent reminder of the transitory nature of the eternal now, it graces us with her beauty and leaves us with a shaking sensation deep in our bones. 

On the B side, Serak begins with a bellowing bass emitted like a series of holotropic breaths from belly of Stanislav Grof himself. A sequence of sounds sent like a fishing line to the depths of the psyche, it returns with a portentous melody that winds and wanders until exploding midway thru the piece in a burst of restrained emotion.

Some collaborations are good for a one-off moment in time; a tableau of a time and place shared by two creative individuals who have shared a moment.
Then there are collaborations that are meant for the long haul; there’s substance and connectivity that goes much deeper than the polished, crisp veneer of the music itself.
Something you can tangibly feel. Something that’s more than evident on Guy Mantzur and Roy Rosenfeld’s ‘Hidden Karisma’ EP for Marc Romboy’s Systematic.
Picking up where they left us last year with the epic ‘Epika’ and ‘Deeyo’ on Kompakt, once again the duo arrest our every sense with three diverse slabs of progressive electronic soul. And it kicks off with ‘Systematika’. A track so cosmic and the beautifully restrained you get the feeling it was tailored exquisitely for the label itself, the duo take us on a soft-but-stern ride to the very top of the known galaxy before cutting the chord and letting us freefall back to reality.
The soft chimes and cleverly layered synth surfaces of ‘Hidden Karisma’ follow and the title couldn’t be more fitting: With its harmonic strata, gently folding twists and turns and stately breakdown, it’s the type of track that offers something new on every listen, guaranteeing a sterling sense of uplift that’s fresh every time.
Those in need of darker designs should jump on ‘Kruizer’ as an array of bass textures creep, jump and ooze out from the tall shadows cast by the rolling beats. With bare bone tones and techniques you’d usually expect on a UK bass record, it’s yet another exciting fusion from the Israeli duo and a devilish way of bidding you adieu... For now.

"Our very first EP „Energy Patterns“ was a convincing first release, not least because of an amazing remix from our good friends over at PHCK. Since then, the guys have developed a massive new sound, included talented singer & instrumentalist Stefan Kling into the project and showed the world what they are capable of.
With highly praised releases on All Day I Dream, Connaisseur and Chapter 24, the guys return with quite the reputation. Naturally we collaborated on a highly ambitious project, which finally resulted in a massive 8 tracker EP, including a thrilling collaboration with Bona Fide and remixes from rising stars El Mundo, Fulltone, Rauschhaus, Savvas and Death On The Balcony.

With groove and mystery, main title track „Natu“ opens up the release. PHCK’s beloved hang drum melodies return, melted together beautifully with Stefan Kling’s vocals. A warm and snappy bassline builds the bases on which layers of long drafting synths create a constant rise of tension, that is able to build through the 10+ minute running time.

We glide into „Cecilia“ with a seemless hangdrum transition - The darker brother of „Natu“ cuts the vocals, to tell a deeper story put together by synth modulations from PHCK’s beloved moog leads. Supporting violins and building atmospheres roll over pushing percussion arrangements, which lay the foundation for a more club oriented piece.

A dark supporting bass, dramatic lead patterns & and a developing structure - Rauschhaus delivers a magnificent tone change for „Cecilia“. Emphasizing on the original’s strings and melodies, this remix glides through various melodic ideas, continuously building a unique story of it’s own, breathing through dynamic modulation and a gliding tension.
