First seen on Senseless with a deadly release on Neon late last year Napo joins label mate Boyfriend in the Lithuanian corner of the roster. His widescreen, expansive beatmaking hints at years of experience behind the desk when in reality he's still just 17. Already though he's played at his home country's renowned Satta Outside festival as well as internationally and released a series of acclaimed free EPs. 

For this, his debut full release, he delivers four choice cuts of finely crafted drum machines and intricate synth work with influences pulling at the edges of R&B, rave and deep house. Touch Formed channels old school pads building through a roller coaster of twists and turns, equal parts Lone and Ridge Racer. The track also comes complete with an CGI cityscape video that’s a perfect fit for Napo’s cinematic approach to making beats. 
Moonset Reality is programmed from rave DNA with vocal snatches and deep chords giving way to breakbeats and 808s programmed in a 2014 style. FRWRD and Loners take things deeper and more introspective, showcasing his amazing ear for melody. 

The icing on the cake is a guest appearance from High Focus's Jam Baxter, underground hero of UK hip-hop who delivers a short, sharp tongued blast of his signature macabre wordplay over 'Loners'. It's the perfect juxtaposition connecting genres, countries and decades, Senseless Records style.

Slime welcomes Retrospekt back to the label, this time bringing with him a new partnership in the shape of Polish producer Platkovsky. The seductive elements of the former’s previous production style are all still present and correct, but through this forged alliance we are treated to a brace of tracks that now pack a considerably harder punch. The combined potency of both producers ensures these cuts will be essential ammunition for any DJ looking to fill a floor.

‘Faded’ opens proceedings with a rolling kick and pulsating bassline, before unveiling the Retrospekt & Platkovsky mantra from the mouth of a wasted partygoer, succinctly put as “Name three fun things to do…drink, party and smoke”. The track builds itself around an insistent melody line, layered across speaker-shaking drums that will incite clubbers to follow their philosophy to the letter.

‘Play Us’ tells the tale of current dance culture across snapping percussion and percolating drums, complete with a mischievous edge and plenty of explicit name dropping of the scenes biggest players. A serpentine bassline slithers and slides around the track with a chokehold grip, pouring directly out of the speakers and straight into your brainstem. 

‘HVN’ drops the tempo down for a sensual little number. Perfectly poised vocals rub gently against narcotic beats and cavernous bass stabs for a late-night jam that will be the soundtrack to many a heads-down weekend workout before the sun comes up.

Up and coming house producer Matt Fear steps in to strip ‘HVN’ down and rebuild it into a monster of a track, relentless drums providing the exoskeleton around a beating heart of sublime chords and warm tones. The sting in its tail comes with a killer bassline that will blow minds and melt sneakers on the dancefloor.

The Liverpudlian producer SPD returns to the label with a brace of tracks that show further evidence of his evolution as an artist. Following on from last year’s twin releases of ‘The Way We Live’ and ‘Hazy’, ‘Myriad’ delivers his unique percussive style as before but with a developing sense of melody and texture.

‘Jasmine Tea’ glides in on a single pulsating chord, unfolding into a laconic melody that is pure hazy sunshine. A soulful vocal provides a counterpoint against a delicate framework of slow burning percussion and bass, before developing into a bubbling house groove that has heat-drenched summer days etched all the way through its core.

‘Tricky’ escalates the tempo with a rolling 4x4 rhythm and glittering atmospherics, underpinned with a relentless bassline. Smooth vocals and keys float across the surface with ease, amplifying the feeling of a soundtrack to tropical nights in monsoon season on some far-flung island.

‘Nedificate’ takes a turn into the darkness with rave stabs slowed down to a crawl across thundering drumwork. Every element is given space to breathe as the creeping nocturnal unease gradually percolates and rises up to the surface. 

‘Badmanting’ escalates the darker vibes of the former track with classic Jungle sounds mutated into something altogether more sinister. Broken down and morphed into a fresh style across a half-step house hybrid, it exemplifies the spirit of old skool rave whilst twisting it into strange new shapes.

Here at Irregular, the number 13 is far from unlucky. In fact, when like artist Brunetto, you have a “license to beat” that number is rather a cause for excitement and positivity. That’s because the 13th release on the label is the cleverly named new EP from Brunetto who has returned to ‘beat you with his beats’.

The Sevillian artist is back to show off his musical weapons with two unreleased tracks: the previously mentioned “License to Beat” & “Air Pistol”. These new tracks bring you skittering beats bubbling into vibrant ambient music. With every second the multi-layered songs reveal desperate guitars, striking baselines, atmospherically warped synths and bizarre glockenspiel arrangements. Loosely structured, strange and magnetic.

Time for the remixes. Pulshar remain loyal to their unique modern dub sound, adding on this one sexy-ass sub bass line. Inspired tempo exchange of organic house and gentle dubstep. While the French artist Sevenfive transmits on his remix his love for granular synths, deep baselines and intelligent house music.

Warning: Brunetto announces new album (the 4th in his career) for next 2013. Few details have been revealed, only that the album will include at least 10 songs with some surprising features and will be dedicated to the hottest comic-books heroines.

Slime reaches a new milestone for the label with the launch of its first physical release.

To celebrate, we wish a welcome return to the imprint for Swedish producer Materia, who has crafted 'Atlas', an album that extrapolates the fundamentals of house, garage, dubstep and techno - then fuses them into a listening experience full of warmth and texture which reveals further depths through every repeated play.

'Otherland' is the opening statement of intent. Windswept and widescreen, it's cinematic qualities are pushed to the fore from the outset with melancholy chords drenched over skeletal percussion. The mood intensifies as the ice-cold beat drops and the track draws you slowly under its spell.

'Clouds' sees a collaboration with NYC vocalist Winter and UK lyricist Koast. Over a narcotic half-step rhythm, Koast delivers a heartfelt paean to hedonism taking its toll, whilst Winter adds her gossamer voice to proceedings, elevating the track into something solemn yet beautiful.

'Grounded' evokes hazy summer nights spent in a neon-soaked metropolis, as live strings, guitar and brass coalesce into a laidback groove that exudes a rich sensuality.

'Shallow Waters' goes south of the equator and turns the tempo up for a rolling house cut with live Rhodes and flute in a playful interchange.

'Shadows' finds cavernous space in dubwise rhythms, with a booming sub-bass strapped to skittering beats and emotive chords.

'Headspace' combines dub and techno textures with startling results, offering up an expansive galaxy of spectral sound to drift into.

'Skylight' sees the return of songstress Winter to add sugar-sweet vocal textures over a gorgeous drum & bass rhythm that is full to the brim with sunshine.

'Downstream' draws the listener down deep into a seductive house groove with live saxophone played with a mischievous touch by Startslow.

'Ruins' is a joint composition between Materia and the highly-regarded Bristol producer Forsaken, who combine for an atmospheric slow house jam with a moody energy all its own.

'Synthesis' completes the journey with a grand flourish, delving into tech-house territory for an epic nine minute excursion into interstellar rhythms that takes you off the edge of the world into ecstasy.
