Poker Flat Recordings has been dealing out underground house music with a unique twist since 1999; from the defining debut "Loverboy" through the Bugnology series, acclaimed albums and worldwide club hits, Steve Bug's essential imprint has unearthed new talent, developed rising stars and welcomed veterans into the fold. Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, starting with this first instalment of the anniversary series called 4 Jacks.

youANDme's remix of Steve's "Pelican Glide" earlier this year paved the way for their production debut for Poker Flat, and "Quince" is one of their finest yet. The track is the epitome of deep, with restrained, icy percussion and delicate melodic stories, that all combine for a warmly organic deep swing.

“Steve Bug’s impeccable Poker Flat label is fast approaching fifteen years, and they have never put a foot wrong. This is the first in the series released to coincide with the birthday celebrations. First up is a new remix of Steve Bug’s ‘A Shot in the dark, by Taylor who has smoothed out the rawness of the original warehouse classic to a more sleek, refined late night bumping house groove. 
Boris Dlugosch’s acid-disco-house track gets a right good going over from The Organ Grinder, who adds a thumping kick drum, a syncopated hand clap, and takes Boris’s acid lines to an illegal warehouse party in Berlin.
Tom Flynn debuts on Poker Flat, with the bubbling infectious, synth sound of, ‘She’s Nice.’ With sultry vocals and a poised groove, this is ideal fodder for the night moving into top gear. 
Earlier in the year we heard youANDme’s remix of label head honcho Steve Bug’s, ‘Pelican Glide', which was an excellent version. They are
back with one of their strongest tracks yet in the shape of ‘Quince’, which is a perfect deep and eerie house track.

With releases on Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and BPitch Control, it's safe to say Venezuelan-originating, Barcelona-based duo Fur Coat are backed by some real key players.

Last year's 'There's No Time' EP on Jamie Jones and Lee Foss' HC was a proper smash, with the title track a certainty to mess with your mind. That followed the 'U Turn' EP on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown, a tasty four-tracker of sizzling grooves.

Soon they make their debut for Balance, mixing the 'Balance presents Fur Coat' compilation featuring cuts by DJ Koze, Francesca Lombardo, Roman Flügel and a couple from themselves.
