There's no doubt about it that Brooklyn births some of the most stone cold characters in our nation's history. From Bugsy Siegel to Biggie, Brooklynites never back down from any challenge, even it it involves making enemies in the process. But through the lyrically poised Innocent?, scrappy spitter Ruste Juxx, and raw rhymes of Sean Price, "Silent Murder" gives you an insight of the inner workings of Crooklyn. Devoid of hooks and over produced beats, it's a potent, choir sampling joint that's full of bars detailing the trio's hustle and love for their borough. "Silent Murder" is taken from T.H.E.M. Innocent? (feat. Ruste Juxx & Sean Price) - "Silent Murder"

After previously releasing Almost Famous and A World Full of Mannequins, Brooklyn native Westbay gets set for the June 3rd release of his third solo effort, Spread Love. The album is conceptually inspired by a movement that Westbay has begun with the New York City street artist Mr. Love, which consists of a series a weekly events that allows both artists to showcase their positive message through both song and visual arts. 'Spread Love' is a polished, high energy album that highlights the Brooklyn native's wordplay, penchant for crafting meaningful rhymes, and ear for top shelf production, in one cohesive, fourteen track effort. The LP includes guest features from Maino, and Troy Ave among others, and boasts production from tC Dibiase, Parkside, Joe Josh Beats and more, that proves that Hip-Hop is alive and well in the other side of Brooklyn.

Sing A Little, Live A Little

First discovered by Lil Wayne (Kidd Kidd was one of the first members of Wayne’s Young Money crew and appeared on Wayne’s Tha Carter III making a guest appearance on “Mrs. Officer” from the Platinum project) and more recently as a member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit imprint and over the last three-years, Kidd Kidd has made numerous guest appearances with 50 Cent.

That trend continues for Kidd Kidd, as he is predominantly featured on 50 Cent’s upcoming LP, Animal Ambition (6-3-14); he has already appeared in three videos from the project, “Chase The Paper” which also features Styles P & Prodigy, “Everytime I Come Around” and “Irregular Heartbeat” which also features Jadakiss. 

Now, Kidd Kidd is making waves of his own, as he preps the release if his forthcoming mixtape, Fuk Da Fame, which will be released on 6-10-2014.  In early May, MTV aired the video for Kidd’s “I Am” and today he releases a new track, “The Real,” featuring State Property’s Young Chris.  Kidd Kidd is also releasing the cover art for Fuk Da Fame as well today, as the symbolism of the pills represents the choice between reality and fantasy in music today.

"It's time to tuck into some well garnished and marinated hip-hop from legendary Queens MC, Kool G Rap, who is thoroughly a hip-hop marksmen for his spit fire flow and hard gritty street bars. Also on this track are two incredible MCs who have surfaced in the underground for some time. Cambatta (Tampa FL) who is know for using clever rhymes and word patterns with hints of esoteric knowledge and rapper Skrewtape (New Jersey) finishes off the track into a spectacular posse cut for a hip hop mutual. One of the great things about the track is it shows how dope things sound when old school and new school rappers come together. Hip‐hop. The original, some would say, official music of the late 20th Century Bronx.
Some say it has endured it’s fair share of distractions, detractors and defectors. Some say it has murdered itself, having been abandoned by its so‐called best men, those who have gone off in other directions, or who have, simply, just beat‐retired. Yet, there are plenty of Soldier Monks still out there, prepared to sweat it out in the Temple of Machinery and Mics.
Low Cut honored this cause four years ago, with his MPC crafted minimalist version of NY Minute and he’s back to ring the bells and unsheathe the samples!

The starting point of Dead End’s production remains the 90’s boom-bap, but the will to carry it even further brings it to its destination. By decorating it with rich samples flushed out after digging through vinyls pressed several decades ago, it is guided by a compass pointing deposits to the East. With sound quality inherited from a fastidious composition and mix works, using inspiration rather than just being a copycat, Dead End celebrates it without setting it up as a museum piece.

Picturing the beatmaker stuck in the depths of a dark alley, ended with a brick wall, is easy. But far from isolated in his Parisian basement, Low Cut has rung phones in New York, Baltimore and Detroit, rounding up the faithful. He
magnetized the hidden but sharp forces, and gained attendance of legends. The casting of Dead End : Ruste Juxx & Nutso, Dirt Platoon, Guilty Simpson, Torae, Rasheed Chappell and the stainless Masta Ace, among other beat crushers. Also starring DJ Duke, Nix’on, Topic and Ordoeuvre with their DMC titles crates, for a deep beatfight on bars scarified of scratches.Heavy atmosphere, martial beats and street soul, Dead End is also the final episode of the projects initiated by Low Cut, based on the model of a producer inviting various MCs.He will then replace his turntable needles, refresh his sample banks, and settle the BPMs of his productions on more abstract frequencies.
