En 1971 Don Siegel reunió a dos de los más importantes maestros de la gran pantalla, Clint Eastwood y Lalo Schifrin. "You've got to ask yourself a question:
do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
es una de las frases más memorables de la historía del cine y sirve para que Clint Eastwood en el papel de Harry Callahan y su Magnum 44 quedará grabado en todas nuestras retinas.

CLINT homenajean formidablemente a Harry en su debut 'Alégrame el día'. Los grandes instrumentales cinemáticos de Ennio Morricone, Lalo Schifrin, Roy Budd o Nino Rota y los más cercanos Calexico, Friends of Dean Martinez o Tindersticks son referencias inevitables tras una primera escucha. Reflexivos, teatrales, oscuros, melancólicos, agridulces, elegantes o cíclicos son adjetivos que definen las obras que componen este disco.

CLINT no son nuevos en este circo. Surguidos de las cenizas del combo madrileño de pop'The Umbrella Hating Generation' al cuartetole gusta definirse como un grupo rock peliculero pero nosotros pensamos que son grandes compositores dignos participantes en cualquier largo de cine negro, persecuciones interestatales o agentes secretos en misiones imposibles.
 
Grabado durante el presente año en Madrid bajo la sabia batuta del reputado José Mª Rosillo (Marlango, Josele,...) 'Alégrame el día' continúa con la excelente línea de discos instrumentales publicados por siesta. Hace ya más de una década que se publicaron los primeros trabajos de Daily Planet o Real Carioca y hace un lustro que esta casa acoje al ya mítico Vigil. ¿Nos sentimos afortunados? Por supuesto, en estos días que la industria camina hacia obras
singulares carentes de imagen se cuentan con los dedos de la mano proyectos instrumentales que describan dificiles paisajes sonoros que todo el mundo tiene de referencia pero pocos se atreven a retratar. Se podría pensar que se trata de un intento de suicidio o conspiración... no lo crean.

Esperamos disfruten de los lugares a los que este magno disco les transporte y reflexionen si deberían sentirse afortunados por haberse encontrado con CLINT.
