“I worked through a lot in these 2 hours. While my mixing may have been a bit shaky at times, it was honest and mirrored my spirit trying to find hope amidst some difficult darkness. I really used these 2 hours to explore more styles and sounds to try to find unlikely friends, of course always channeling the midwest. Being able to record these streams at Good Room has been critical. They really stepped up for us, giving us a home to work through that dance floor therapy we’ve all been stripped of over the last year. While it's never easy to look out to an empty dance floor, I have personally felt like these sets are placeholders for us to fill these rooms again. Whether playing or watching these streams, they have been essential for me as an artist and ultimately as a family member of our underground community.”

Jefta Wattimena also known as Jephta, is a Dutch DJ based in Amsterdam and a resident of the
Rotterdam-based organization Embodiment.
Heavily influenced by the dark atmospheres with immense depth in the Scandinavian sound together
with the repetitive and controlled sound and way of playing, Jephta crafted his own sound within this
realm often including experimental and hypnotic elements in his sets. He achieves that through his
hybrid setup, and in order to make his performances as fluent and dense as possible, he always has 4
decks open.
As a resident of Embodiment, Jephta feels that his duty is to bring their vision to the community, but
also to the newcomers in the scene, and together to create what in his eyes is a perfect club night.

All good things come in threes, so why not record one podcast including three mixes! So far we invited 18 talented artists to our series and each one of them delivered a captivating and unique mix. For the 19th edition we gathered on a cozy Saturday evening and recorded an End of the Year Special Podcast consisting of three sets in a row, mixed from the heads behind this project. 

Although each mix presents an individual signature, there's a smooth continuity throughout the whole recording, ranging from dubby and trippy, to more stripped down and mental gems and ending with bass heavy, atmospheric breaks and acid.
