YAMA Music reaches a milestone with tenth release ‘This Must Be The Way’ featuring remixes from Varhat and Audio WernerYAMA Music celebrates a landmark moment with the tenth release on its self-titled imprint, arriving as a strictly vinyl-only EP titled This Must Be The Way. The release reflects the journey of the Essex-based label since its beginnings in 2018 and reinforces the stripped-back house aesthetic that has defined its catalogue. Founded with a clear commitment to detail, patience and a deep respect for vinyl culture, YAMA Music has gradually built a reputation within the global minimal scene. Rather than chasing trends or quick output, the label has focused on cultivating a distinct sound rooted in subtle textures, hypnotic grooves and carefully considered production. 

That ethos continues here with a release that feels both like a milestone and a natural continuation of the label’s evolving identity.This Must Be The Way unfolds across four tracks, balancing atmospheric depth with late-night functionality. The title track opens the EP with murky basslines, tactile percussion and slowly shifting synth layers that highlight the restrained yet immersive approach associated with YAMA’s productions. On the flip side, Final Days leans further into the label’s hypnotic minimal aesthetic, pairing understated rhythms with brooding, evolving sound design.Two remixes from respected figures within the minimal community expand the EP’s palette. Yoyaku founder and long-time supporter Varhat delivers a deep, meditative interpretation of the title track, pushing the groove into a more hypnotic direction. 

Meanwhile, Perlon and Cabinet affiliate Audio Werner reshapes Final Days with his unmistakable touch, introducing rolling rhythms and subtle rhythmic shifts that transform the original into a fluid late-night tool. The collaboration feels particularly meaningful for the label. Both artists represent pillars of the contemporary minimal landscape, and their involvement reflects the growing recognition YAMA Music has gained within the scene. For the imprint, the release marks a full-circle moment: bringing together influences, supporters and peers who share a similar appreciation for understated yet forward-thinking club music.True to the label’s philosophy, the EP arrives exclusively on vinyl. The musical journeys of Dance Spirit and David Scuba alike have been defined by a unique sense of perpetual evolution and sonic exploration. Now through the infamously spirited Desert Hearts Records, these two scene dominating entities have joined forces to produce one of their most prized releases to date, the ‘Dust’ EP. 

As its name implies, Dust is primed for the most tribal dance floors of the international House and Techno communities. From the spaced out percussive wonder of the EP’s title track, to the throbbing yet playfully distorted vocal samples of ‘Cactus Cloud’, right into the woefully experimental synth work of ‘Mirage’, the release delivers a murky dreamstate of massive proportion. 

Hailing from Barcelona, Christopher Mohn and Reagan Denius of Dance Spirit bring to this collaboration years of experience and countless releases on premiere labels like Maison D’Etre, Superfreq, Kindisch, Culprit, Akbal Music, and Endless. Their refined take on Techno calls on heavy layering and effortlessly rolling low ends to produce minimal yet vibe ridden 4/4 masterpieces. A renowned live show has landed them at Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Piknik Electronic, City Fox, Sacbe and of course on the dusty helm of the Desert Hearts Festival. 

David Scuba’s impeccable taste for swelling basslines and crowd carrying anthems has earned him an industry wide reputation amongst fans and heads alike. His invaluable founding membership of Mr. C’s Superfreq has seen David’s role within the label and partysquad sprawl from resident DJ to promoter - carrying him from Detroit and Bogota to Mexico’s BPM Festival and fabric London. He too has flexed his irrefutable knowledge of the life atmosphere at Desert Hearts Festival, playing one of the most talked about sets of the Three Year Anniversary Festival this past November.
