I wrote this song after learning of my friends depression and how he was struggling, it resonated with so much i felt so helpless as its not something you can just 'fix' with a beer and a hug, i had a low period in my life some years ago but wouldnt have called it a depression but even in that small dose it was hard to pick myself up from it. 
This song mimics depression, while the music and melody is bouncing along the lyrics offer a darker insight in to what the true meaning of it is underneath much like someone who is suffering with depression, they appear fine but could be screaming for help internally.
Its a well used line but it is ok to be not ok! 

Remember youve always got a friend who is willing to listen and guide you through the dark times.
