Acedia is a piano improvisation surrounded by some basic synth pads. It's as simple as the first track but has a darker vibe and sounds less predictable without losing effectiveness.

Acedia

Luxuria is probably the only track of the EP that i see as fully developed and arranged song which has a clear climax and all that stuff. It is based on a drum pattern in an odd time signature (7/8). My goal was to write song that hasn't a 4/4 scheme but at the same time doesn't feel odd or unclear. It contains mostly piano and some synths. nothing fancy :)

Luxuria

Avaritia is split into two parts. The first one develops the last harmonic change of the intro track into a new melodic idea underlayed by a heavy halftime groove. The second part feels a bit loose and unclear as it contains only improvised, randomly wiggled chords.

Superbia is the intro track with a simple idea. It builds on a major seventh chord in c sharp. I had multiple versions with arpeggios and big chords and all that... but in the end i wanted it simple and clear. thats the result.
