Composed for the Ubisoft Game Lab Competition 2023, Soul Shaper Original Soundtrack consists of two musical themes, one for the menu, setting up the ambiance of danger and a gruesome underworld; the other one declined in three variations, depicting an epic boss fight in three stages!

"Let your imagination take shape as you wield the power of creation against the only thing separating you from heaven. Bend space and time as you battle your foe in Soul Shaper!"

This year's theme for the contest was “Arcade”. So the whole game was made following old graphic and artistic standards of video game industry during the 80s-90s. The music itself was composed following a realistic 16-bit style and limitation. And it paid up, as the game received the two awesome following prices:

• Best Prototype
• Best Creativity and Integration of the Theme (Arcade)

Soul Shaper Original Soundtrack was an awesome experience to compose, and I hope it makes you want to try the game!

The purpose of this work was to compose a track that could be integrated into a song in an animation movie for example.

To make this piece I followed the following guideline:
