Trex is coming in hot with an end of summer double track banger! ‘That’s A Lyric Ya Know / Oddball’.

‘That’s A Lyric Ya Know’ throws us straight into eerie elements twinkling above distorted vocal chops and warping basslines. Thumping breaks rattle above shifting synths to cement this into a guaranteed floor filler!

Trex brings us further into the darkness with racing hats undulating bass stabs on ‘Oddball’. Unearthly pads drift with swirling basslines. Mystical vocals complete the afterparty track, and you won’t want to go home when you hear this one!

The London based artist has established himself as one of the most exciting producers within Drum & Bass of late. Having released on MAC2, Sofa Sound, Audio Porn, Dispatch and his own label Trust Audio, Trex is demonstrating his ability to deliver. Remixing DJ Zinc ‘Bubble’ and releasing his second album Fifteen Doors on Randalls’ Mac2 Recordings in 2020 were landmark moments for Trex, cementing his reputation as one of the most versatile and technically gifted producers out there. 

Trex was very prolific throughout 2021 with a bunch of exciting remixes and releases on Critical, Spearhead and Ram and some big hitting Trust releases to boot! Rounding off the year by winning the coveted Dub Wars Season 4 production event. 

2022 is proving to be just as fruitful with releases on Overview, Metalheadz in the offing. A live set from Trex is guaranteed to be full of Dubs with lots of powerful bass!

I used to listen to Nero's Welcome Reality album on repeat back in 2011 when I moved to Iowa for 8 years, and always pictured a DNB remix of the original in my head. Fast forward to 2024 and here is what finally came out, and at least I can throw it in my sets now. I'm just posting it publicly for fans to enjoy, thank you. This is an unofficial remix.

Nero - My Eyes (Christian Bruna Remix)

Rough draft made using the SP-404 for effects and MPC 2500 for sequencing (arranging).
I still have to clean it up, add a bassline and tighten it up a bit in my opinion. Take a peek and download it if you like it :)
