Squarehead is the latest young producer to sparkle on Shabby Doll, with his “Bats & Stuff” EP delivering yet more bump and wallop for the discerning house head. Otherwise known as Oliver Ledger, Squarehead is possessed of a precocious talent – his debut “Keep It Moving” EP on Bad Taste was a Juno Download number one, while his records have won hard-earned airplay on Radio One thanks to supporters like Toddla T and Skream – and with DJ appearances across Europe plus his own 5ANDSEVEN label, he's right at the heart of Sheffield's current underground scene.

Squarehead's latest is a collection of crisp house tracks that crackle with a twitching percussive energy and exert a warm bass embrace; titled “Bats and Stuff”, the release features five new tunes built for the dancefloor, including remixes by Shabby Doll fellow travellers Jack Fell Down and Francois Le Roy & Nanni.

The melancholic synth pads have the power to tug at your heart – but just wait for the nag of that jumpy, paranoid shriek.

‘Thinking About It’ has had an amazing response since it was launched by the Eton Messy YouTube channel. It has been played by The Magician, Clean Bandit, Blonde and Annie Mac to become many peoples soundtrack of the summer.
 
Just Kiddin have come a long way since being introduced by XLR8R back in 2013 via their Intimacy EP on Nurvous Records releasing on labels such as HK Records and Black Butter while their remix of Claptone’s smash ‘No Eyes’ on Exploited garnered a cool four million views on YouTube.
