NYE 2015 was quite a magical night in the Hollywood Hills, as I spun one of my favorite sets of all time at "The Disco Ball". When I gave the countdown to bring in the New Year, the room was on absolute FIRE. Burning Man. A place surrounded by mythicism and fabled tales. Some say anything is possible here, whether it be in the physical or metaphysical worlds. This being my fourth year, and having countless truly magical experiences, I can testify this truth. We are now less than 2 weeks from our journey back home, so for this month's King Tape I wanted to share my outlook on the beauty Burning Man embodies.

The New Year brings resolution, covering the SPECTRUM from old to new. I crossed through a lot of different genres, really playing for vibe of the room throughout the night. Take the journey, as I started the night off at 100 BPM and then slowly worked my way up to 124 BPM at the ball drop... where things just go OFF! Oh how I love playing NYE parties :D

Hello again! As you may have noticed (or not), it's been nearly 3 months since I put out a new King Tape due to an extremely busy schedule. This was the longest gap I've had between releases, as the past few years have been on a monthly basis.

After spending some time in Tulum earlier this year, I came home with new inspiration. Lately I've been playing a lot of downtempo, ethnic / worldly music, so I wanted to build out a story with some of my favorites. The result is what I can proudly say is quite possibly my favorite King Tape yet. I hope you feel the same. As always, enjoy the ride. xx

On “Fire,” the latest in the ‘Discovery Project Releases’ series, producers @maliomusic and @jonnie-king find a meeting point where both artists can flaunt their unique sounds collectively and individually. “Fire” features an infectious bounce held down by a funky, minimal bassline and accented by rolling percussion and raga vocals as the melodic breakdown rises into a sweaty and driving finish.

The Bombay Beach Biennale, what can I say? I came here with zero expectations, not really having any inkling what to expect, and that turned out to be the greatest piece of advice I could have given myself coming into this. The Bombay Beach Biennial  is a true festival of love and appreciation for the arts. Having never seen a ballet before, I walked away in complete awe fascinated by the concepts of humans floating so gracefully through the air. From the dilapidated, but oh-so carefully structured wreckage of automobiles that made up the coolest drive-in movie theatre in the world, the bare-bones pirate ship washed upon the shore, the charismatic freedom parade, the one and only Toledo show, the insanely weird and jaw dropping art exhibits; there were endless ways for the general population to express themselves at Bombay Beach. Bikers, townies, hipsters, men, women and children of all age and sizes, artists, pets, and anything that you could guess celebrated throughout the weekend with not a care in the world. What a spectacular occasion. I gracefully praise all who made this happen. Until next year my friends, here’s a little disco to relive our unforgettable moments together at the one and only Funky Beach.

With a calling to uphold tradition, we decided to host our annual Day After Thanksgiving Tea Pardee, but we cut the guest list by 75% and required Covid tests be taken before for everyone’s safety. The results.... The Universe exploding out of a CANON!! How beautiful it was to enjoy this experience on a more intimate level this time around and really get to engage with everyone there. 

What you are listening to is one of my favorite musical journeys I’ve taken in a long time. From rock n roll to melodic techno and everything in between, these are the sounds that inspire me. Enjoy the ride xx
