Jonny Blender

Jonny Blender was born on the 20th of march 1969 in Montevideo. His parents were a fully nightclub dancer in a topless bar called The Titti Twister and a cocaine-addicted piano player. They bought little Jonny a used “Tama” drumkit that he played like crazy eight hours each day - even on sundays. Because of that the neighbours soon told the family to leave the country before something really bad happens.

So they moved to Palmira in the Colombian Andes, where Blender senior established a good profit cocaine plantage. In 1990 Jonny went to Moscow and started to study medicine, but his biggest passion was still making music. 1996 he celebrated first success with his band “Djima Cowboys” in front of eleven drunken marine soldiers in a rotten blockhouse in Archangelsk. But he wanted more. He moved to Antibes not far from Cannes where he met the famous Jean Michel Jarre in a nightclub. After round about eight hard drinks they felt like brothers.

The french popstar invited young Jonny to his high tech studio in Notting Hill, London, where they had a 56 hours non-stop jam session to create different Sounds with all kinds of drugs which were availbe. 
Until 2002 Jonny worked for Jarre as a studio musician, driver and cook and also joined the popstar on his tour through Asia the same year. The friendship ended because of a discussion over the meaning of life, the sense of music and how to prepare the perfect mescaline pipe.

Since then Jonny is searching the “true sound” in his bungalow near Hamburg, mixing the influences of different cultures he got to know on his trip around the world. Jonny blender is now 44 years old, single, german shepard Owner and  a father of  an eight year old boy.
