Debut on BP for Jonny Calypso and Dafar, these two guys hail from Germany and they met for the first time in January 2011, they soon became good friends. Dafar has a big vinyl library at home and is a great graphic designer. Jonny has been creating his own tracks since 2009 and has worked with great artists like Criss Source, Jon Silva,Robin Hirte,Matan Caspi,Donique and Niels Van Gogh to name a few. Both these guys have the same taste in music which means they are open to everything with a good flavour and good progressive vibes. "Spirit" gets right into a deep progressive flow from the off with snappy kicks and a very deep bass that reverberates through the sound. Crispy hats soon follow creating a cool rhythm and setting the scene for an epic journey. The minimal nature of the intro fades and superb synth sounds filter through. A monster of a tune with a driving progressive groove that will shake any floor! "Unknown Reality" sets off with a superb kick, hat combi which provides a solid layer for the fantastic tough edged bassline to poke through. Great build up of sounds with a subtle percussion line have a big influence on the groove. Along with that we get a synth that gradually flows into the sound adding a cool texture. Wonderful hypnotic grooves and a must for any box!

For the last number of years we have seen nothing but the very best sounds from Matan Caspi, and today is no exception. Here he delivers his latest offering, Distant Muse which comes backed up with remixes from Manu Riga and Persya. Apart from giving us super fine cuts Matan is running the label Outta Limits together with his good friend and production partner Stan Kolev. He is also busy with touring and concentrating on his future productions, where  you will find original, raw and innovative material. His last outing for Bonzai Progressive - Brain-Storm was well received and this was followed up by a double appearance on the ADE 2016 Compilation from Bonzai. All of the above doesn't leave a doubt that Matan's music will be heard on the most popular dance floors around the world.

The Original Mix is a sublime trek deep into the progressive sound, full of wonderful subtleties and nuanced elements that combine beautifully to bring that rich sound evident in Matan's work. Chunky kick drums lead the way as crispy hi hats and shuffling percussions form up alongside a deep and lush bassline. A myriad of FX and one shot synth hits are perfectly placed for maximum effect enhancing the stabby, more prominent layers. On the break we are treated to some excellent key work that bring in rich melodies before the synths are slowed down and then sped up to a brilliant climax and the back into full on mode for the duration. Top notch stuff indeed. 

Manu Riga is up first with his Progrezz Remix and in true Manu Riga fashion, he knocks it outta the park. An extremely busy and in demand artist, this guy remains consistent in his delivery of top quality sounds. His last outing - Unstoppable proved to be popular on the floors and various charts and we've no doubt this remix will follow suit. The remix definitely goes straight to the floors with a nice rhythmic drum arrangement along with cool FX and a subtle underlying melody. The track builds nicely with the bassline shoring up the dancey groove and the tougher edged synths keeping things moving. The break is where the magic happens here as a beautifully serene vocal captivates the mind and draws you in deeper before those chunky kicks take us back into full on mode. A must have no doubt.

Bologna based producer Persya returns to BP with a wonderfully constructed progressive house remix. His last outing - Heide EP - was back in June 2016 and made a very good impact on the scene. The intro allows us to dive head first into the deep groove on offer as a fantastic atmospheric sound is generated. Hypnotic melodies draws us in even more as chunky kick drums lead the charge. A deep droning bassline dominates the low end as the intensity increases. The solid groove becomes so immersive you are lost in its ethereal grasp and on the break this is more true. A stunning slice that will not disappoint.

Noir et Blanc (Original Mix) Preview

Spanish DJ and producer Alex Vidal returns after a short hiatus with the superb Epiphany. We last saw him back in 2016 on remix duties for Blufeld & Platunoff - Tiefe Gedanken as well as appearances on several of our compilations. Alex found a passion for music at a very young age when he learned to play Spanish guitar and piano. He grew up listening a wide range of music from the 80's & 90's, the likes of The Cure, Depeche Mode, A-Ha, New Order, The Cult, Nirvana and Metallica, are just some of the bands that shaped his youth. He started to DJ in the early 90's playing techno, trance & house in local clubs and private parties. The next step in his musical career came in 2012 when he started to produce his own music. Soon after he had releases on various prestigious progressive labels like Stellar Fountain with Stellarium EP, Mistique Music with Lost In Your Eyes, OLD SQL Recordings with Nomads Of The Sky EP and Perfecto Records with Wild Beauty which was featured on Paul Oakenfolds DJ Box in March 2014. Since then he has racked up an impressive release count on Bonzai progressive where he showcases his awesome brand of progressive grooves. 

We go straight into a dark and murky progressive groove on the Original Mix with a tight drum section filled with chunky beats and crispy his hats leading the way. On the low end a beautiful weighty bubbling bassline sits, inviting us into its abyssal home. Swirling pads and mysterious FX keep the imagination firing as we get totally immersed in this solid groover. A definite must have for sure.

Manuel Palmitesta and Silvio Petrich join forces once again on a fantastic remix which will definitely grab a lot of attention. They recently teamed up on Musicoleptik - Zenit which gained a great deal of support and no doubt this one will follow in its footsteps. German DJ and producer Manuel Palmitesta is no stranger to these shores after his debut cut Rush Hour EP proved very popular indeed. Over the last few years we have seen this guy crop up on several releases where he delivered top notch remixes. Ecco's Switch, A.M.X's Secret Lover and Tech Dealer's Plastic Vibes are just some of the releases he's contributed to. We've also seen him appear on Bonzai Basik Beats radio show. He has also seen releases on many labels over the last few years and he always gains lots of support. Fellow countryman Silvio boasts an impressive catalogue having just started to put out his own music at the start of 2017. His sound is really taking hold and we're sure he will be one to watch for the future. On the remix here, the guys takes us on a fantastic journey into prog with a diverse sound fit for any late night set. Wonderfully rich mesmeric voices sit alongside a deep droning bass and a cacophony of cool sounds and FX. Subtle melodies add cool textures while a pulsing lead takes us higher. Superb stuff that you do not want to miss.

Russian music duo Crossman return to Bonzai Progressive with a solid remix after their superb debut - Pentagram just a few short months ago. We were mightily impressed with their sound and we've no doubt that we haven't seen the last of these guys. Here the guys deliver a solid progressive slice with a minimal approach that packs a big punch. Tight beats get us moving before a plucky bass joins in alongside that haunting, rich vocal. Syncopated arpeggios cascade through the sound and work perfectly with the percussion section for a smooth rhythmic flow. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.
