For its 26th release and first of 2017 East Recordings welcomes back label boss Pablo del Monte with a three-tracker peak time tech-house EP.

2016 was a big year for Pablo with releases on labels like In The Loop, Audiophile Deep, House Grooves, Maison Records and Denied Music, as well as East Recordings establishing itself in the market place in its second year of business.

We’re expecting 2017 to be even bigger.  To kick things of ‘Needing Pleasure’ is a densely layered UK tech-house style track aimed at peak-time big club systems with some hefty sound design and a deep formant vocal topline adding an uplifting moment in an otherwise suitably moody cut.

‘The DJ is my Deacon’ is a much more US tech-house affair and is on a more commercial tip with a highly percussive groove, a celebratory melody and a classic preacher style spoken word vocal topline; all lending well to the kind of track that will work well in Ibiza this summer.

The third track, ‘Bring the Tech Back’, is the most underground with a tough beat, driving sub and dark tech-y sound design coupled with a liberal use of vocal chops including the classic “Bring the funk back” sample and, hence, the word play in the title.

For fans of UK house and tech-house.

Dutch newcomer Gimbrère is quickly making waves in underground circles with his latest work titled 'A Thing', which breathes new life into a classic disco anthem, landing on the respected Future Disco imprint. 

The release is paired with a remix from AVA's Jordan, who flips the original into a rolling house gem. There's no question this belter will whip any dancefloor into a cosmic frenzy.

The A side kicks off with 'The Friends & Lovers Dub' version of the title track 'Love Is Madness', filled with deep pulsing pads, resonating dashes of sax, crisp percussion and a bumping bassline that provides the perfect backdrop to the echoing mantra of 'Friends... Lovers'. 

Next 'I-80' is a wonder of shimmering arps, brooding bass tones and reverberating trumpet touches. Perfect for the early hours, entrancing dancers as it washes over the airwaves. 

On the flip, Austria's golden boy Demuja hits hard with a Kerri Chandler channeling deep house remix of 'Love Is Madness', centred around a pumping bass synth, sustained organs and a classic marriage of horn stabs and emotive spoken word. 

Closing the EP the original mix is a sun kissed, eyes closed gem that blends delicate bongos, rousing sax lines and the sweet vocals of Simon Black & Leafar.

A must for any record collection out there, house head or not.

2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, especially for our community with events being canceled, the closing of clubs and releases delayed. To face this unique situation, Happiness Therapy decided to release our first digital compilations. It features new talents and artist, for some of the artist this being their freshman release but also bringing on some notable artist in the scene like Ricky Razu, Jon Gravy, Denyl Brook & Ethyène.

To sum up this release, its filled with Happy House vibes ranging from Classic Chicago house with melodic synthesizer sections, Deep Anthemic 90's House, Disco House with rhythmic Afro hand percussions, and Lo-Fi and Leftfield house cuts. This compilation pretty much covers the full spectrum of House music offering a little something for everyone.
