I wrote this about a year ago, and it's been an absolute joy to spend some time getting it recorded here on Cartmel Fell.

What you get when you: 1, spend an amazing few minutes with a 74 year old Swedish Diesel engine, 2, pass through a tunnel, 3, record the engine, 4 have the post-tour music blues sitting at home with Logic and no particular aim in life.

Sunrise Over the Candlestick

I wrote this for string quartet and Scottish Smallpipes, but spent the afternoon giving it a shot on the nyckelharpa.  Turns out it sounds rather nice! Now to record it properly!

Composer and competition-winning guitar player; Jonny’s outstanding technical ability, coupled with a wide-ranging musical taste has made him a tireless and forceful musical innovator. Jonny currently plays with the successful UK Folk duo "Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer" and the trio SeriousKitchen.  He also does a range of session work for folk artists and singer songwriters.

 Jonny has been singing choral music, soul, jazz and folk for as long as he can remember (which hopefully is more a reflection on the amount of time he's been doing it than how short his memory is).
