Jonny Knogood continues to show what separates him from the rest of the pack. On this new track produced by Maurice Bailey, Jonny gives a perspective of American History that makes you question your previously conceived ideas on history as it pertains to the unique African experience. The Willie Lynch Letter is an alleged document delivered to a group of "slave owners" on the banks of the James River in a colony in Virginia in 1712.  It graphically detailed the making of a slave and how to move past physical slavery into a mental one where the enslaved, not slaves, would believe that they were free and become less likely to revolt. Lynch boasted that this improved form of slavery would last at least another 300 years, if not 1000. The authenticity of this document is up for debate, but the relevancy of the content is not. With that detail in place I now present "American History X"

Black lives do not matter. They might to you. Not in business. In business, only black ECONOMICS matter. Your dollar as a consumer, is all that I am told as an artist to care about. Find a way to exploit you for it and prosper. Why? I'll tell ya.  In our economic system, having someone to capitalize on, hence the name capitalism, is imperative. When you capitalize something ie. "Hence", you  deem it superior in correlation to things around it. In our system, who better to capitalize on then the young, the poor, and the uneducated. By choice or by design, people who look like me seem to fall in one of the 3 categories, and people who think like me on how to fix that seem to get targted. I could go on forever but I will simply say this, its a lucrative business when you sell the bullets and the bandaids, the peace and the war, the disease and the cure. No hard feelings, its only business.
