He is an established DJ in town who had the opportunity to travel far away from French boarders (incl. South Africa, Canada, Eastern Europe, USA and more) looking for news sounds and textures to feed his eclectic sets.

Ahead of our party with Zaltan on the 21st of September he's put together a mix for our podcast series...

Don’t look for the latest Zaltan 12”, there is very little chance that it gets released anytime soon : Zaltan rather puts all his energy into his mixes and in running his label, Antinote. Wandering through recordshops and flea markets, looking for French rarities and yet to be discovered records, Quentin Vandewalle has gathered thousands of dancefloor-friendly tunes of all eras and from all over the world. Teaming with Raphael Top Secret for years as the cult Parisian duo Zaltan & Top Secret, he definitively knows how to keep a party going.

Zaltan has been djing for more than a decade and he makes a point of honour to deliver mixes as surprising and versatile as the label he runs. If you show yourself at a party where he plays you may find yourself falling into a maelstrom of Caribbean bangers, French proto-house tracks, dark electro fantasies and god knows what else he’ll take out of his bag.

Support comes from two very good friends of High Hoops, Annabel Fraser and Bitzer Maloney. Two NTS regulars and self confessed vinyl enthusiasts who have previously graced the stage with killer selections at High Hoops. 

Expect the unexpected with a night of twists and turns. Paris meets Manchester via our favourite Salford warehouse.

One of Australia's finest, Jad & The is a truly prolific and inspiring producer. You may know him from the sampled disco goodness on Toy Tonics, jazzy-house on SlothBoogie, or electro-tinged outings on Haws. Either way, with more than 15 releases to his name, it's clear that Jad is an artist who knows how to stay ahead of the game and sound fresh every time. More importantly, to do all this while maintaining an unmistakable signature sound. While he's not working on new lush EPs, Jad helps run his label Beats of No Nation with friends Luen and xxxxx, home to stellar releases from himself and many other talents. Today, he's bestowed us with almost an hour and a half of recent favourites, as well as having a chat to us about music, Berlin, the art of djing, and the not-so complicated secret to his perfect hair..

The @Cosmic-Rhythm-records affiliate’s real name is Michele Lamacchia although he is known by a multitude of aliases and for his involvement in various collectives and collaborations, including KETAMA, Nu-Cleo, Rydm Sectors, and Mediterranean Key Collective to name a few. Each of these distinct artistic identities allow the multifaceted DJ and producer to encapsulate specific moods and reflect different music styles.
