Synopsis 
Scene 1: 
We open to the final notes of a huge, rumbling, rock tune, which we see from back stage. There is a crescendo, then an abrupt stop and the singer yells: “GOOD NIGHT NEW YORK!!!”. We hear the audience explode with the screaming, applause and stomping of a stadium crowd. The band hustles off the stage through the curtain towards us and off stage. Last to leave is the star, Grant Parish. He proceeds off stage weakily as the lights fade to black. 

Scene 2:
The incredibly ordinary scene of a family in their apartment preparing for bed.

There is no dialog. As the family, Grant Parish, his wife, Faith and their son Connor prepare for bed, One, by one Faith & Grant’s muses are introduced totally four. They tend to Faith & Grant invisible to their hosts. They represent Love, Devotion, Regret and Jealousy.

The couple tuck their son into bed, retire to their bedroom. Grant dies in bed that night after making love. 

Scene 3 & beyond:
	Grant is assumed into the afterlife, and presented with the accounting of his life by the Divine Tribunal. The archive of his life is presented as an animated art gallery.  

	In a dream, Connor is enticed into the afterlife — or Dreamland — with the notion that he can save his dad.

	Connor seeks out the aid of a Crone. She strikes a bargain for Connor’s soul. Going to the Tree of Life, she slices off half a piece of fruit leaving the rest on the vine. Connor forfeits his soul to whoever eats the half remaining on the tree.

A time limit of three bells is set for repayment. The peel of the bells marks time through the play.

	Grant has a series of confrontations and tests and winds up with his spirit set in stone. He sings his last song “Dream’s Behold:” it’s sung as a duet between them. At the crescendo at the end of the song Faith faints and as a spirit, enters Dreamland, to rescue he husband. 

Once on the other side, Faith’s memory of her purpose there begins to fade. Her resolve is tested. And as episodes of her life are recounted, Faith’s sense of purpose is regained; she enrolls a community of kindred spirits and in a dance ceremony, releases the spirit of Grant from the stone. (Song: World of Stone). 

Alone and frightened, Connor is despairing that his soul will be forfeit.  As the deadline of the seventh bell approaches, Connor sneaks back to the Tree of Life and steals the half fruit that now contains his soul.  

At the edge of a lake, Connor encounters a spirit in the form of a large, pathetic bird. The bird pleads miserably for his own life. Overcome with sympathy, resigned to his sad fate Connor decides to do one final good act as the 7th bell tolls. And hands over the rejuvenating fruit over to the creature. 

In an instant the bird is transformed into the Crone who now appears as beautiful Spirit-Goddess. She tells him that with his act of selflessness, he has is past the test and asks him what he has learned.

Connor, thinking deeply looks up and says that what he has learned is that death just another part of life and another, greater, chapter in the book. 

As the strings of the song Stumble & Fall begin the stage lights peel back to reveal the lake with fog on it. Out of the lake the souls of the dead slowly begin to rise. They all wear gray monastic cloaks with hoods cupped in their hands; each one carries a little flame. 

They are met at the bank by their loved ones. Two by two they meet their dearly departed and begin their visit. They embrace, then, some talk, play a game of checkers, a mother plays with an infant, a father dances with his daughter, etc., etc.
	The moon rises and sets over the course of the song. The stage fades to black.

	Final Scene:
	Its years later, a concert stars Grant Parrish, he introduces Radioado as something that came to him in a dream one night. The song contains bits that are recognizable because they were introduced during the course of the play. Radiado is a call to world unity.
