I’ve been playing it nonstop this year, and the energy it creates in the crowd has been unreal. It felt right to make this the first bootleg I release in the series and share it with you all.

Such a full circle moment….

I met Justin Jay (a fellow USC alum✌🏼) 5 years ago at a Jackie Hollander boiler room set. I may have had a bit of liquid courage at the time, and I literally went up to him to talk about music and asked if he would come back to my shitty college room to listen to demos. Granted, I had 0 monthly listeners at the time and of course Justin agreed. 

Since that night, Justin has always been a good friend and someone who really pushes innovation in the scene. Not one to confine himself to boundaries, he really inspired me to go after what I want to do regardless of what’s popular. 

At @shambhala_mf this year, I saw Justin grinding on music (not surprised) with some artists. I remembered I had a hardhouse track I had started, and airdropped him a bounce as a joke. He asked me to send him the project…

Literally 8 hours later, Justin had finished the song and asked me to sprint over to the Pagoda Stage at 4am, and we played it live (it was my first time hearing it done 🤣). 

Justin’s currently living in Berlin and has been spinning this tune across the world - including recently at the @glitchfestival boiler room. 

In the spirit of making music for the fun of it without end goals in mind - Justin and I just uploaded our 145 BPM “Check It (Funk Soul Brother)” on SC >:)

"Tour Life" is finally released!! This has been a huge tune for me, the reaction I've gotten has been super positive and I'm so happy that it's now available to stream and download.

I love Tech House and Deep Tech and I do play it out at club shows but I'm never super inspired to produce it... but when I found this vocal I knew it would fit this kind of production. I set out to make something fun and vibey and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
