Our Shambhala Music Festival debut; a career highlight!

We've been dreaming of playing Shambhala for years and it could not have been any more magnificent. Setting the the tone on day 1 and getting to send a sea of exuberant ravers into their first Shambha-sunset, post-pandemic was truly an honor. The energy was so palpable, we can still feel it today.

Big love to Shambhala, The Living Room crew and to every person who showed up for our set, we'll never forget sharing this special moment with you!

Well here we are friends, Vol.6 has arrived just in time for the start of the festival season here in Canada! It was mixed at 126-130BPM. I have been curating and reiterating this mix since October 2022. It's safe to say this one has been a Journey ( Wink ). Weighing in at 1:26:25, this volume features Bass House, Brazilian House, Break Beats and Uk Bassline. It starts with a bang and ends with one.

The Underdog - No Fucks Given Vol. 6

The Comeback is a return to self - coming back to my own, to my roots, to my authentic self: my passion for the music, and finding purpose within the passion. It’s easy to lose ourselves - through work, relationships, and stresses of life - but the more I reconnect with the music, actively and with intention, the closer I come to reconnecting with my true nature and my younger self; the boy who cared only for DJing, making mixes, playing shows & bush raves, and jumping around on stage. A good DJ has the power to move collective energy and my inner child wants to be part of that collective once again.

It’s been six years since I’ve released a proper mix. I’ve been working on this one for the past seven months: 36 tracks, and at least half of them are double drops. I have never been so committed to the music, to the complexity of transitions, and to creating something worth celebrating. Major house party vibes. I really hope you all dig it and give it some love, because it was really something else making it happen. Enjoy - and have a great summer!

This was a total freestyle, I never have time to plan sets for Shambhala. But I let her rip and this is it!   Live on the fly and zero edits.

DJ SOUP Mixy SPECIAL - SHAMBHALA 2023 LIVE

Here's my vibey set that i got the chance to play at the famous Treehouse series here in Saskatoon. The mix starts off deep and then has lots of disco and dance vibes starting about 10 minutes in, but there are lots of genres and surprises throughout the hour. Carefully hand picked tracks to keep you grooving and moving!

I added an extra track [that i didnt play live] onto the end as to give the mix a little outro =)

This Animated character not only brings music to the show..  His stage performance, crowd response & just his happy go lucky attitude, either making you dance or laugh :) 
Over the past few years, these characteristics has made him stand out in Western Canada’s Electronic Music Scene.

As Fall 2018 approached,  While Jontin’s main focus is his established career in Construction Contracting, still progressing as a DJ he decided to further his musical career into music production.
