For the 20th edition of Podible, Eats Everything has selected influential British duo Rhythm Masters, who recently released the fifth EP to come out on the Edible label. The pair influenced Eats in the early stages of his musical career, so this release is a great moment for Edible. 

Formed in the early 90s, Steve Mac and Robert Bruce quickly became a highly respected DJ and production duo. In 2002, they released their debut album and have gone on to remix for Todd Terry, Michael Jackson, David Morales and Junior Sanchez. Their contribution to the Podible series is infectious and energetic; it references back to the era where it all began with classic Chicago house anthems, as well as lots of their own original unreleased material.

BIO:
Darius is a self proclaimed "House Addict". He fell in love with the house sound as a teenager living in Montreal back in the early '90s when he would stay up late on Friday nights and record a dance mix show on Montreal radio. He was hooked from then on. He then proceeded to start mixing with one tape deck and a cassette player and never looked back. When he moved to Vancouver in the late '90's, he started buying records almost daily and spent most of his free time at his favourite record stores at the time, Bassix and Mekanix records. Over the next few years, Darius held various residencies and ran 2 club nights in Vancouver, playing alongside such talent as Lawnchair Generals and Johnny Fiasco, as well as playing at numerous after hours and raves. Today, Darius is happily married with a young son, but his love for house music hasn't died. He is still busy putting out mixes and in 2015 is doing some exclusive guest mixes for International house collectives such as House Salad Music in Mexico, Little Routine in France, Reason2Funk and Uglyhouse in England. His sets have been described as "organic" and his love for jazz is prevalent in all of his mixes.

Also in 2015, Darius has launched a monthly podcast entitled "Soul Room Sessions" with the support from House Salad Music, Reason2Funk, and Little Routine crews. The goal of this project is to promote the jazzy/soulful side of house music and features exclusive guest mixes by some of the biggest DJ's in the world!

‘Pigs’ comes on like The Coral at their most creepily echo-laden; Nick Cave and James Skelly, in a knife fight down a Shanghai back street. With an almost evil vocal croak, Dong sings about the unfortunate titular swine that inspired the song title, the strange tale of around 16,000 pig corpses that floated down Shanghai’s Huangpu river in 2013, sparking headlines around the world. 

It is a track in stark contrast to the clubland referencing epics of 8 + 2 + 8 II and At Mosp Here released online earlier this spring.  In March Re-TROS payed their first UK visit, playing to packed showcases in London and Liverpool they set about their quest to be the first Chinese band to ‘go global’.  Heroes of the Chinese underground rock scene, Beijing-based ‘Rebuild-ing the Rights of Statues’ release their genre-spanning post punk inspired album Before The Applause on September 15th on Modern Sky Entertainment.

I love house music in its purest, deepest, yet varied forms and enjoy taking dance floors on a journey rather than stuck in a groove. Taking inspiration from the old reggae DJ's who mix the old with the new to provide an ecclesiastic celebration of their music.
I have a massive vinyl collection of historic house/rave and old school hip hop. 100% vinyl baby.
