Wrote this in 2002 and recorded it on my Tascam 4 track on zip disc while living in the gigantic loft apartment that was the final residence of Allen Ginsburg on 13th between 1st and A in the East Village of NYC. It is an anti-war song. This was an old "demo" which I may re-record some day in the next twenty years.

Slow Yer Row

Wrote this in 2002 while living in the apartment that Allen Ginsburg died in. It was on 13th st between 1st ave and ave A. I thought that was funny. I recorded it in the apartment on a big long table under a crayon mural that everybody drew on whenever we had parties. I recorded the drums in my rehearsal space in the Pencil Factory in Greenpoint which used to be an actual pencil factory and is caddy-corner to a bar called The Pencil Factory. This was a "demo" meant to be re-recorded at a later date.

Between 1st and A

I wrote this song after spending some days in Chilean Patagonia many years back. I was staying on a sheep farm with a lovely family who made me kill a lamb so we could eat its blood and grill it over an open flame for dinner. I hiked throughout the land with a 5 or 6 year old dude named Nico. He pointed out to me the big colored rocks that jutted dramatically from the landscape like crashed alien ships. I'll never forget that lamb.

Patagonia

I wrote this song when I lived in the Allen Ginsburg apartment on 13th st between 1st and A, his final residence before passing into the next place. I recorded a demo version there but THIS is the version that I recorded in LA after I met Doug Boehm. He was one of the producers of the last Honorary Title full length that we recorded for Warner Bros. He really like my music and we were pretty good at partying together. I ended up flying out to LA to record this song at legendary Sunset Sound Studio where he was an engineer. Chris Egan and Steven Mertens also play on this version. We were all there together. What a time.

Kill For You

This is a song that is hard to describe. It started in Thailand where I met a school teacher who showed me an old traditional Thai song that went pretty much like this one but a little different too probably. I left Thailand not long after and immediately went to a weed farm in NOCAL and met a talented musician and benevolent soul named Shine. He re-wrote the lyrics and over the course of three months recorded this song over many beers and joints around nightly fires. We created a new society on that farm, The Ding Dong Tribe, and this song became our "Natural" Anthem. At the end, the crowd you hear is everyone on the farm including Kava the Rotweiler, hooting and hollering and singing into the mystical midnight mountain starry sky. This one means a lot and kind means nothing at the same time. So much more to this story but it has to end somewhere.

This song was written around 2006? Yes, let's say that. I wrote it and recorded it with Tim Bright in Brooklyn at his little studio somewhere I can't remember. He had really good gear for a small studio and he went on to do all of the music for a big TV show called Grey's Anatomy. 
Chris Egan plays drums and I believe I played everything else on this.

Just a fun song about my relationship with my GF Yael who I dated for a few years and lived with in a house with two other people. The four of us were in a band called Enemies.

This is a piece of music I wrote in Brittany, FR in 2022 after 6 weeks of intense difficulties, self-doubt, bad translation, confusion and beauty all from a Moulin in the countryside. 
It is the first of what will be a handful of pieces of instrumental finger-style music that I am writing and recording this year.
This particular recording was produced by Ari B. Ingber on his four track at my friend Nino's apartment overlooking Hollywood and the Capital Records building during Christmas 2022 while she was away visiting her family. 
You may hear a pulsing propellor whirring in the background which is a permanent fixture in the four track machine that we used to record this demo.
